James Ferguson Obituary

James Bradley Ferguson, son of the late J. B. Ferguson and Lalie Burnett Ferguson, was born on June 16, 1965, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life on April 20, 2023, in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 57 years. Mr. Ferguson worked in construction as a cement finisher. He was a resident of Fenton, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and shooting guns. On May 21, 1999, in Brownwood, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Debbie McClain. Mrs. Ferguson preceded him in death on May 30, 2018. He is survived by three sons, Dustan Ferguson of Bernie, Missouri, Eric Ferguson (Ashli) of Malden, Missouri, and Donnie McClain (Elizabeth) of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Shonda Ferguson McGowan of Bernie, Missouri and Sarah Schaefer of Fenton, Missouri; by two brothers, Richard Ferguson of Oklahoma, and Gene Menton; and by eight grandchildren, Branton Ferguson, Breyson Ferguson, Joslynne McGowan, Justyse McGowan, Jayla McGowan, Kinsley Schaefer, Landen McClain, and Madison McClain. Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Samantha Ferguson; and by his son-in-law, Jonathan "J. T. " McGowan. Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 12:00 p. m. until 2:00 p. m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 2:00 p. m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
