Mr. Robert Rapheal Wilson, Jr. of 128 Georgia Drive, Ashburn, Georgia died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at Westview Memorial Garden in Ashburn, Georgia. Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask. Robert Rapheal Wilson, Jr. was born February 18, 1981 in Turner County, Georgia. He was born to Mr. Robert R. Wilson, Sr. and Mrs. Erma (Calvin) Thomas. “Baby Ray,” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was educated in the public schools of Turner County. A believer in Jesus Christ, he accepted him as his personal Savior and united with the Piney Grove Baptist Church. On Thursday, February 8, 2024 our beloved peacefully slipped away. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. James & Mrs. Judy Dawson and Mr. Charlie George & Mrs. Emma Lou Wilson. Sara Nell Webb Harnage, of the Tifton community, passed away on January 29, 2024, at the Southern Oaks Personal Care Home in Tifton, Georgia. She was born on September 16, 1937, in Berrien County, Georgia. Throughout her life, Sara Nell touched the lives of many with her kind heart and gentle spirit.Sara Nell received her education at Berrien County High School. Immediately after high school, she married Mr. Curtis Harnage and lovingly stood by his side until his passing on March 31, 2020. Their marriage lasted an incredible sixty-two years. One of Sara Nell’s proudest accomplishments was being a dedicated member of Waterloo Baptist Church. She devoted herself to teaching Sunday School and using her beautiful voice as a member of the church choir. Sara Nell’s faith was an integral part of her life and brought her immense joy. When her children were attending school, she held many offices and jobs at Tiftarea Academy. For many years she had a home daycare where she helped raise forty plus children for working families.In addition to her loving husband, Curtis A. Harnage, Sara Nell is preceded in death by her father, H. P. Webb, her mother, Minnie Lee Purvis Webb, her son-in-law, David Fitzgerald, and her five brothers Thomas Webb, Larry Webb, Elbert Webb, Carroll Webb, and Loye Webb.Sara Nell’s memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends. She leaves behind three children: Kathy Fitzgerald of Tifton; Keith Harnage of Columbus; and Dana Harnage of Tifton. Her grandchildren Timothy and Heather Fitzgerald; Kayla and Duran Paulk; Saralyn and Adam Hutchinson; Becca Renaue; and Matt Price will forever hold memories of their loving grandmother close to their hearts. Sara was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Micah Paulk; Kaylan Paulk; Chloe Fitzgerald; Hannah Paulk; Anleigh Dixon; David Renaue; Addy Renaue; Tyson Craig; Allie Craig; and Isabelle Hutchinson. He was drawn to the agricultural industry where he pursued a career as a Pecan Farm Manager at RSR Farms in Ashburn. Beyond his professional pursuits, William had a deep sense of devotion to his family. He found great joy in taking care of his beloved mother, Sara. One can never forget the special bond between William and his cherished dog, Sophie. They were inseparable companions who shared many happy memories together. Sophie brought immense happiness to William's life with her loyalty and unconditional love.In his earlier years, William had a passion for sports. As a young adult, he enjoyed playing basketball and softball. However, it was on the golf course where he truly thrived. Golf provided him with relaxation and allowed him to connect with friends while enjoying the outdoors.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. She was a dedicated mother, doting grandmother, and adoring great-grandmother. Known for her warm heart and gentle spirit.In her early years, Carolyn enjoyed playing basketball at school. As she grew older and started her own family, she made the selfless decision to work in the school lunchroom while her daughter was in school so she could stay at home with her during the summer. This display of love and commitment set the foundation for the strong bond they shared throughout their lives.Carolyn lived a life filled with simple pleasures that brought her great joy. Reminiscing about her days growing up on the farm with her sisters always brought a smile to Carolyn's face. She adored spending time with her only granddaughter Tiffany, taking her to school and entertaining her after school. But it was her only great-grandson who held a special place in her heart. He was truly the love of Carolyn's life.Among Carolyn's many passions were decorating her yard for each season, especially during Christmas when she would transform her home into a twinkling wonderland. Her creativity and attention to detail were admired by all who passed by. She even made the WALB News for it.Carolyn also found solace in tending to her lawn and flower beds. She took pride in mowing the grass herself and maintaining vibrant blooms that added beauty to her surroundings. These simple hobbies allowed Carolyn to find peace and connect with nature.Aside from nurturing her loved ones and pursuing hobbies that brought her fulfillment, Carolyn found comfort in attending First Baptist Church of TyTy where she was a member. It was there that she found a sense of community and shared her faith with others. Carolyn's commitment to her church family was a testament to her strong values and unwavering belief in the power of faith.Carolyn Lockhart Willis will be deeply missed by those who had the honor of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Tanner of TyTy, whom she loved unconditionally and supported throughout every step of life's journey. Her granddaughter Tiffany and Bernand Ball, along with Carolyn's great-grandchildren Harlon, Camden, Kennedy, and Harper Ball.In addition to her immediate family, Carolyn is survived by her sisters Gay Lang, Charlene Sanders, and Robbie Tippens. Their shared memories and lifelong bond brought immeasurable joy to Carolyn's life. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Lockhart and Bonnie Lockhart.Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard C. Willis, who passed away on September 25, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Vernon Tanner, as well as her father William Clarence Lockhart and mother Velma Iona Graham Lockhart, her three brothers, Grady Lockhart, Danny Lockhart and Kenneth Lockhart and three sisters Louise Waldrop, Dot Baxter and Amy Kendrick. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at TyTy Baptist Church with Rev. John Smith officiating. A eulogy will be given by Barol Bailey. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. Pamela "Pam" Hasty Morris, beloved mother, Meme, great grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 5, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1955, in Turner County, Georgia, to John Thomas Hasty and Virginia Dean Hasty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by the love of her life, Louell Wynn Morris who died August 1, 2022.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church of Sycamore with Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Marcus Rolle officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.Pam's life was filled with love, joy, and laughter. She radiated kindness and had a remarkable ability to find the good in everyone she met. Pam never knew a stranger and cherished the warmth of relationships. She loved telling stories and jokes that would light up any room she entered.Professionally, Pam had a successful career as a paralegal with Sims & Fleming, PC Attorneys. Her dedication to her work was admirable, and she always gave her best to assist those in need.Education played a significant role in Pam’s life. She graduated with honors from Turner County High School in 1973. Pamela further pursued her passion by earning an associate’s degree in Paralegal Science from ABAC.Faith held a special place in Pam's heart, and she was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore for many years. Prior to that, she was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church where she loved volunteering in the nursery and rocking the babies. Her commitment to her faith provided her with strength and solace throughout her life.Pam found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her family. Her children include; Lori Shirah of Sycamore, Shana Green, Wynne Morris, and Lou Morris all of Tifton. Pam's love extended further as she embraced fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Peggy and Tommy Hauesler of Arabi, and Johnna and Keith Story of Sycamore. Family gatherings were always made special by her presence as she delighted in spending quality time with loved ones.In addition to her immediate family, her bonus children are Beth and Ronnie Busbin of Wedowee, Alabama, Chad Morris of Irwinville and Misty Winzenreid of Tifton. Pam's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Mr. William Pickett "Billy" Marchant, 89 of Tifton passed away at Harborview Health Systems of Tifton on Saturday, February 10, 2024. A graveside service will be held at Oakridge Cemetery on Wednesday, February 14, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Stacy Phillips officiating.Mr. Marchant was born on August 5, 1934, in Tift county, Georgia as the son of the late Artie Lennie Marchant and Lula Willis Bryan Marchant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Denver and his wife Glennice Bryan, Leon Marchant and Wright and his wife Hazel Marchant and five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn and her husband, Tom Clark, Willie and her husband, Clifton Dickens, Myrtice Marchant, Wynell Marchant and Marylene and her husband Bob Whittington.Mr. Marchant graduated from Tifton High School in 1952, in the first twelfth grade graduating class at Tifton High School. That high school building now serves as the Tift County Administration Building. Upon graduation, he attended the Southern Business School in Atlanta, where he learned telegraph operating and studied to become a train depot agent. This led him into military service with the United States Army Security Agency. He served for eighteen months in Korea where he was a high-speed radio operator of the Morse Code. He was honorably discharged in 1955. After his military service, he returned to Tifton and attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College, then he joined the Tifton Police Department as a motorcycle officer. He later became part of the sales team for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he retired in 1989. He was not retired for long when began working with Ocilla Tire in Ocilla and General Tire Company in Tifton. After retiring completely from a public job, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, working in his yards and knife making. He also enjoyed watching the old westerns, Nascar racing and football on TV. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He is remembered as a very caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an active member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton, where he served as a trustee as well as a member of the counting committee team and an usher where for many years, he enjoyed fellowship with everyone, because he just loved people.Mr. Marchant is survived by his wife of sixty seven years, Marie Beard Marchant; his son and daughter-in-law, Walt and Jinny Marchant of Suwanee; his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Steve Pearman,of Tifton along with his three grandchildren and their spouses; Jason and Lydia Marchant of Bogart, Justin and Rosie Marchant of Winder, and Ashlea and Matt Sheorn of Starkville MS; his great-grandchildren, Cade Marchant, Cohen Marchant, Sophie Marchant, Rogan Marchant, and Riley Marchant, his sister, Merle Perryman of Sylvester and sister-in-law, Ruth Beard of Tifton.Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 4605 Murray Ave., Tifton, GA 31794.Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Brother Donny G. Nix, 72, of Albany, GA, died February 24, 2024 at Tift Regional Health Care. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Randolph Pate will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. Donny was born in Butler, AL on December 9, 1951 to Hugo and Beatrice Nix. He grew up in Melvin, AL and graduated from Choctaw County High School in 1968. Donny joined the United States Navy and was stationed at Albany, GA. He married his first wife, Delores LaRue in 1971. After his discharge, he was employed with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until it’s closure. Donny was employed with The Marine Corps Logistic Base for thirty-one years. During that time, he was a bi-vocational minister and served Kinchafoonee Baptist Church, Faith Community Fellowship Church and Wright’s Chapel Church. Donny was a member and Deacon at Union Baptist Church in Worth County. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Nix. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Nix, his children, Sean (Cindy) Nix, a daughter, Michelle (Rick) McMullen and Roger Carlton all of Albany, GA, his step-children, Seth (Zen) Frye of Worth County, GA and Kyle (Melissa) Gray of Tifton, GA, his brothers, Kenny Wayne (Angie) Nix and Clifford Nix all of Melvin, AL, his grandchildren, Adam (Kristin) Nix, Kaylan (Bruce) Johnson, Dakota (Joe) Epps, Tristan (Makayla) Epps, Carly Burton, Stage (Tatum) Collins, Garrett Burton, Brandon Collins and Nick Frye and his great-grandchildren, Grayson McCall, Sophie McCall, Logan McMullen, Kason Johnson, Weston Epps, Harlan Collins and Noah Nix.
