Jackie R. Tucker, 87, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat. She was born March 15, 1936 in Oil Trough, Arkansas and was preceded in death by her parents, Irl and Mildred Langston Ruddell; a sister, Chloe Pitts; and a brother, Adler Ruddell. A member of First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, Jackie loved her Lord and her family (especially grandkids). She was a voracious reader and worked alongside her husband as office manager for his medical practice. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Charles Tucker; a daughter, Kim Floyd (James) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; a son, Charles "Tony" Tucker (Susan) of Mineral, Virginia; three grandchildren: Jordan, Allyson, and Cody; three great-grandchildren; many other relatives and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Wednesday, September 13 beginning at 10 a. m. in First Baptist Church of Salem; the funeral service will be at 11 a. m. with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Mollie was born on January 19th, 1943 in Blytheville, Arkansas to parents Joe and Mamie Waldrup. Mollie was married to her loving husband of 54 years Robert Burnett on July 9th, 1962. She was the loving mother of her four children and a loving grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mollie enjoyed gardening, cooking, coloring, fishing, and spending time with her family. Mollie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Burnett, brother Raymond Waldrup, and her grand daughter Kristy Ashbolt. She is survived by her four children: Brenda Burnett, Billy Burnett, Susan Leon, and Diane Reed, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and her twin brother Harry Waldrup. "Ronald Dale Holland, 79 of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born in Alton, Illinois on July 26, 1944, to Hurbert and Naomi (Woverton) Holland. With the loss of his mother at the age of 9, he was raised mostly by his grandmother, Dora Holland in Omaha, Illinois. Ronnie joined the United States Army in 1962, at the age of 18 and served his country until 1968. He received metals in sharpshooting. He worked at the steel mill from 1982-1989, followed by working at the prison in Newport, Arkansas. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all camping. He loved his children and grandchildren. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Loretta Holland; daughter, Dana Ward (Jimmy); granddaughters, Nichole Lee (Colton), Tara Scoggin; great-grandchildren, Seth and Olivia Thomas, Cole Lee, Rilen, Syndyl and Fenyx Scoggin all of Bradford, Arkansas; sister, Charlotte Cox of Brighton, Illinois; several nieces, nephews and extended family. John Story

John Story, 97, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born May 25, 1926 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Ben and Ida Smothers Story. As a young man, John became a truck driver for Portis Mercantile and operated heavy duty equipment in the agriculture industry in northeast Arkansas. He served his country in the U. S. Army for two years during the Korean War. John and his wife Margaret moved to Cherokee Village and were members of First Baptist Church there for more than forty years. He helped mow the church lawn with a push mower and served his fellow Christians and others in any way possible, often with a prank or joke attached showing his good nature. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, John Mark and William Allen; a daughter, Joan Marie; a brother, Sam Story Sr. ; and his beloved wife, "Momma". Survivors include a daughter, Marcia Canada (Randy) of Missouri; nieces: Paula Gonzales (Mike) of Trumann, Arkansas and Kelley Jewell (Mitchell) of Lepanto; nephews: Sam Story Jr. (Julia Woods) of Lepanto and Jerry Story (Shirley) of Lake City, Arkansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and many good friends including his "bonus daughter" and caretaker, Julie Seward Rikard. Visitation of family and friends will begin at 10 a. m. Thursday, October 12, in First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village. The funeral service will follow at 11 a. m. with Bro. Chris Thorman and Bro. Arthur "Moe" Sliger, 71, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away at his home Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born October 18, 1951 in Johnson City, Tennessee and became a builder remodeling houses. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and loved fishing and deer hunting. Moe was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lee and Marjorie Jane Rogers Sliger; two brothers, Bill and Dub Sliger, and three sisters: Joyce Kinley, Brenda Cocker, and Jayne Cloyde. Survivors include his wife, Lydia Wolverton Sliger; two sons: Mark Sliger of the home and Scottie Walls of Mooreville, Mississippi; a special granddaughter, Shannon Sliger; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Collins of Elizabethton, Tennessee; many other relatives and good friends. Kenneth Ray Sanders, age 95, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September, 13th. Kenneth was born on December 28th, 1927 in Omaha, Illinois to Guy and Mattie Sanders. He married the Dorothy Sanders on July 12th, 1947. Kenneth retired from Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois as a metallurgical Engineer. After he retired, he and Dorothy moved to Williford, Arkansas in 1978. Kenny enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, singing in his church choir, and travelling with Dot. Together with Dottie, they had 5 children: Vickie Piper of Roseville, Illinois, Kathy (Warren) Todd of Lamont, Missouri, Rusty (Pattie) Sanders of LaPlata, Maryland, Jody (Bob) Chandler of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Jill Carithers of Ash Flat, Arkansas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one grandson (Matthew Piper) and two son-in-laws (Douglas Piper nad Don Carithers). Services for Kenneth will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at Hardy First Baptist Church in Hardy, Arkansas. Visitation services will be held from 9:00 A. M. to 10:00 A. He was born December 8, 1936 in Wisconsin to Reynold and Helen O'Brien Ruetten. Keith worked as an operational manager of heavy equipment. He was a "jack of all trades" who loved "to tinker" in versatile endeavors. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Ann. As a most benevolent father, Keith is survived by his children: Laura Smith of Hardy, Susan Bennett of Scotia, New York, and Richard K.
