She was preceded in death by her husband Jones Felts, son Robert Felts, daughter Karla Felts, granddaughter Samantha Phillips, son-in-law Darryl Harris, sister Pauline Russell, brother Arthur Bates, brother Earl Bates, father Frank Bates, mother Ottis (Ott) Shumake. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery of Muskogee under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Beverly Marie (Pingleton) Verne was born on May 08, 1951, to Horace Pingleton and Lelia Pearl (Echoles) Pingleton, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Beverly cherished the simple things in life, she enjoyed watching birds and ensuring that her feeders stayed full. She liked completing jigsaw puzzles as well. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. As caring and compassionate as Beverly remained throughout her life, her family recalls her as having an ornery side, never missing a moment to play a joke on someone.Beverly was a compassionate caring person, helping many patients in her time as a certified nurse’s aide. She strived to care for others, often putting the needs of others before her own. Beverly departed this life on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Muskogee, OK., at the age of 72 years. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cade and Myrtle Pingleton; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Hubert Echoles; parents, Horace and Lelia Pingleton; her husband, Robert L. Verne; sisters, Freda Langton and Pamela Dry; and brothers, Kenneth Pingleton and Jerry Pingleton. Those left to cherish her memories, are her son, Jason, and his wife, Melissa Verne of Wagoner, OK; daughters, Tricia Woodward and Valerie Hammons; brothers, Charles Pingleton of Okay, OK; Donald Pingleton of Okay, OK; David Pingleton of Okay, OK; Hoopie and his wife, Carol Pingleton of Fort Gibson, OK; sister, Louise and her husband, Dink Tibbs of Porter, OK; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.The family plans to have a private memorial service at a later date. Mrs. Marolyn Kay McDuff, 67, died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 12:48 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee. A memorial service will begin at noon, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Perkins First United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Durant officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements. Marolyn was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on July 2, 1956. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dean and Eva M. Harrall. She attended Perkins High School. She married David Lee McDuff on October 28, 1989 at the Perkins First United Methodist Church. They moved to Guthrie in 1993 and returned to Stillwater in 1999. They continued to live in Stillwater until their separation on July 2, 2007. Marolyn then returned to Perkins. Marolyn played the flute in the Perkins High School marching band, "Go Devils!", and excelled in creating crafts of all kinds. She could sew anything, and sold many of her custom creations at craft shows and fairs all over the state of Oklahoma. She loved working at Oklahoma State University as an administrative assistant for years and then worked for a Stillwater insurance agent. She pursued her sewing and crafts business,"Some Bunny Creations" for the rest of her days. Marolyn loved her mother Eva, the company of her good friends, Ed, Janet, Eric, Donna, Patsy, Carla, Jacque, her family, and her dogs! Her father Jack Dean Harrall, 68, died November 5, 1995 in Perkins and her mother Eva Marolyn, 87, died March 9, 2017. Marolyn is survived by her aunts and uncles; Carolyn Rosile of Wichita, Kansas, Kay and Jack Latta of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, cousins; Todd and Wendy Wensler, John Allen and Connie Wensler, Terri Lee (Wensler) and John Fryback, all of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jerri Jo (Wensler) and Kevin Young of Tribune, Kansas, Barbara Latta of Little Rock Arkansas, Eddie and Lesia Latta of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Tommie and Karen Latta of Amarillo, Texas, Steven A.
