Cheryl Anne Warrior, 63, of 216 Hazzard Street, died Sunday February 25, 2024, in her home. She was born October 7, 1960, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Robert Pavlock and Drucilla Peterson Pavlock Putnam Moore. She attended Jamestown and Bemus Point Schools and later graduated from Jamestown Community College. She was a member of the Young Marines and Moose Lodge. She enjoyed cooking and playing bingo, but more than anything she loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving is her husband Timothy E. Warrior, Sr., whom she married September 7, 1979; seven children Sondra Pavlock, Timothy Warrior, Jr., Alyce Warrior, Amanda Vega, Joshua Warrior, Jeremiah Warrior and Carolanne (Cory) Cardone; twenty-one grandchildren; two siblings Michael Pavlock and Denise Doonan and an uncle, Martin Pavlock. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Diane Pavlock. The funeral will be held at noon Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, Florence Muha, went home to be with the angels on Feb. 25, 2024 with her family by her side. Florence grew up in Floyd, NY and graduated from Oriskany High School. Family was everything to Florence. She married the love of her life, David Muha, in 1976 in Boonville. They cherished their time together and the life they built together. They enjoyed traveling and ended up in TN after they retired, which she truly enjoyed. For a number of years, she worked a number of different jobs for the DDSO, retiring in 2012. She was close to her siblings; Phylis, Linda, Michele, Mike, Nick, and Priscilla, as well as their families. Florence is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David; Son, Doug Shaffer and wife Brenda; their children, Dalton and MacKenzie Shaffer; Daughter, Andrea Battles and husband Mike; their children, Samantha Gilbert, Andrew Gilbert, and Kendra Battles. Great-Grandson, Waylon Gilbert; Son, Mike Muha and wife Sonya; their son Nicolas. Daughter, Cheryl Young; her children Michael, Ethan, Keltsey, and Mason. Florence was preceded in death by her grandson, Stephan Young. She had a special place in her heart for Vinnie and Amanda Gilbert. The Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown is in charge of arrangements.

In earlier years she was an active PTA member for CC Ring Elementary, Washington Junior High School (life member) and Jamestown High School. She had served as President of Jamestown City Council PTA.Jeannette will be a remembered as a dedicated housewife, caregiver to many children and foster children, always ready to help someone in need including family.Jeannette was also a member of the former Buffalo St. United Methodist Church for 45 years and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, and member of the churches choir for 25 years. She had served on various church boards until Buffalo St. joined with New Beginnings Fellowship.Surviving is her husband James R. Perry whom she married January 21, 1956 in Jamestown; two daughters: Melania L. Brooks of Spotsylvania, VA, Dennett Carpenter of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Michael K. Tammie Tatchell, 57, of Jamestown passed away peacefully Wednesday February 21, 2024, in her home. She was born December 11, 1966, the daughter of Beverly (Tatchell) Mitchell. Tammie was a graduate of R.R Rodgers School in Jamestown. She was always a fun and positive person to be around. She had a way of making the people around her smile with her silly personality. Tammie enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords, playing UNO, and loved to write. In her younger years she won many awards for the long jump at the Special Olympics. Besides her mother Beverly, she is survived by three sisters: Karen Hitchcock, Angela (David) Adams, Carmen (Pedro) Melendez; a brother John (Sarah) Tatchell; nephew Zach (Amanda) Tatchell and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and grandparents. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Ronald Brown

Ronald Brown, 77, of Celoron, passed away Wednesday February 21, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by his family. A lifelong Celoron resident, he was born October 13, 1946, the son of the late Floyd and Florence Brown. Ronald attended Southwestern high school and following school he was drafted into in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. During his time in the army he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Prior to retirement, Ron worked as a millwright for Blackstone Advanced Technology for 17 years and most notably for MRC Bearings from 1981 to 2012. He was a proud member of UAW Local 338. Ronald was a 59-year decorated member of the Celoron Hose Co. No 1 Inc. joining in November 1964. Over the years he was the former Chief and trustee of the fire department and made many lifelong friends throughout his time at the department. He found joy in fishing at Cape Hatteras, hunting with his favorite Labrador Retriever "Lady", watching the New York Yankees and loved the Cleveland Browns. Most importantly, Ron loved supporting his children and grandchildren in all their activities throughout the years. Surviving is his wife Kristina Brown whom he married September 1, 1966; his children Amy Brown of Jamestown, Aaron (Tonia) Brown of West Ellicott, Adam (Jenny) Brown of Lakewood; his grandchildren Sarah Chau of Salt Lake City, UT, Sydney Chau of Philadelphia, PA, Joslyn Brown of Lakewood, Donavin, and Natalie Brown of West Ellicott; his brother in-law Robin (Donna) Jefferson of Burkesville, Kentucky. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Bonita Sorenson and his grandson Drew Brown. The funeral will be held at 11 am Tuesday February 27 in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Celoron Hose Co. Jerome K. "Jerry" Reed, 62, of Jamestown, NY passed away on Thursday February 8th after a lengthy illness. Jerry was born in Silver Creek NY on September 15, 1961 the son of the late Harley and Josephine (DePasquale) Reed. He spent most of his years living in Silver Creek and Dunkirk before moving into a group home in Jamestown nearly 18 years ago. Jerry worked for the Resource Center in both Dunkirk and Jamestown for 25 years before retiring in 2015. He attended a Resource Center Dayhab in Jamestown in his later years. Jerry lived his life with joy and carried that joy into just about every room he entered. He loved attending dances. He loved superheroes (especially Iron Man). He loved Professional Wrestling and was even fortunate enough to meet and have his picture taken with his favorite wrestler of all time, Hulk Hogan. Most of all, Jerry loved meeting people. If you met Jerry, you were immediately his friend. Jerry's family would like to thank the countless Direct and Indirect Support staff that have taken such good care of Jerry and helped him live his best life over the past 18 years. You made a difference in his life as well as our family's. Thank you all. In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his brother Charlie and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his loving Aunt Marygrace Spencer, his Uncle Sal DePasquale, his brothers Jim (Kathy Thies) and Don, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was employed at Tops Friendly Markets as a meat clerk and loved his job. Besides his mother he is survived by his sister Sherry Hamilton, brother Raymond Hamilton and several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Roger and Sylvia Hamilton and Raymond and Thelma Kriner. No service or visitation will be held at this time.

Carole Wilson Sellstrom

Carole Wilson Sellstrom, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother during her wonderful 89 years of life, passed away on February 19, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family. Carole was born on January 25, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Roscoe W. and Helen Bauer. Carole attended St. Mary's Hall in New Jersey and went on to earn her Liberal Arts degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Carole was pursuing a nursing degree at the University of Michigan when she met the late John L. Sellstrom on a blind date in the spring of 1955. Carole and John were married on August 9, 1958 in Traverse City, Michigan and celebrated 65 years of marriage in August 2023. Carole and John were blessed with four children: John (Cindy) Sellstrom, Kristen (David) Streeper, Karin (Doug) McFetters, and Stephen (Chrissy) Sellstrom, 10 grandchildren: Kristofor (Simone) Sellstrom, Philip (Kiersten) Sellstrom, Sarah Streeper, Jake (Bethany) Sellstrom, Emily Streeper, Sophie Sellstrom, Matthew McFetters, Michael McFetters, Genevieve Sellstrom, and JT Sellstrom as well as three great grandchildren: River Sellstrom, Loch Sellstrom, and Rho Sellstrom. Carole is also survived by her sister Barbara Wallace, as well as nieces Jennifer and Susan and nephew George. The family would like to thank Carole's caregiver and friend, Linda Schwerk, for her dedicated service and gracious support. Carole and John moved to Jamestown, NY in 1962 and built a life filled with family, community service, and travel. While caring for four active children, Carole still found time to volunteer with several local organizations and social clubs. Carole's community service was primarily focused on the betterment of women, children, and health services in Chautauqua County. During her years of service, Carole served as president of both Crèche and the Norden Women's Club. Carole also served as finance chairwoman for the Warner Home. Carole was on the Board of Directors for WCA and the WCA Foundation for 24 years. In this role, she collaborated with the Johnson Foundation to help bring the Star Flight Program to Jamestown. She was also a board member for the Prendergast Library and the Carnahan-Jackson Foundation. Carole was the Executive Director for the Johnson Foundation until her retirement in 2016. One of her greatest joys was getting to know the people and organizations that benefited from the grants they received. In 2019, Carole, along with her husband John, was awarded with the John Hamilton Community Service Award for their lifetime of service and commitment to improving the Jamestown community and greater Chautauqua County area. Throughout their life together, Carole and John traveled extensively throughout the world. Carole especially delighted in traveling to Hawaii and Kiawah Island again and again. Carole enjoyed spending quality time with John and her extended family at their Ashville farm, especially summers spent by the pool and in her gardens. Carole will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community. The ideals Carole exemplified and instilled in those who knew her will be forever remembered. Her legacy will continue to grow through the lives she helped shape. A memorial service celebrating Carole will be held in the spring.
