, 90, of Taylorville passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 23, 1933, the daughter of Winnia and Clara (Sanders) Crane in Sandoval. She married the love of her life, Roy Noller Jr. and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2022. Survivors that will mourn the passing of this dear lady include her beloved family, sons, Randal (Wife Letsea) Noller of Summerfield Florida, Kevin (wife Cheryl) Noller of Raymond Illinois; daughter Valeri (husband Terry) Shutt of Morrisonville Illinois; 7 grandchildren, Holly, Bethany, Roy, Cassandra, Cheri, Travis, and Dusty; and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Crane of Washington; sisters, Winnona Sanders of Florida, Ruth Ann Crane of Florida, and Faye Wright of Texas; several cousins, extended family members, and friends; and family member Jamie Edwards. Along with her beloved husband, Roy Noller Jr. , Ada was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elsie Breed, and Mary Brownette; and her brothers, Wayne Crane, Ralph Crane, Lonnie Crane, and Kirk Crane. Ada was a helping hand and a friendly face while working retail at JC Penny. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Ada loved anything to do with the great outdoors. She especially liked to spend time in the woods hunting and by the water fishing. Ada was a sweet lady who loved her family with all her heart. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Dayle Badman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visitation time from 10:00 a. m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home in Sandoval. Cleta A. Webster, age 78, of Charleston, IL entered her heavenly home at 7:30 p. m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Carriage Crossing Senior Living of Taylorville, IL. She was born July 9, 1945 in Charleston, IL; the daughter of Jasper Elsworth Brookins and Kathryn Gertrude (Strader) Brookins. She married Donald "Dean" Webster on August 13, 1961 in Charleston, IL; he passed away May 18, 2016. Survivors include her children, Deena Powell (Randy) of Springfield, IL, Scott Webster (Nita) of Virden, IL, and Marty Webster of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Dustin Powell (Elodie) of Mechanicsburg, IL, Jordan Powell (Megan) of Springfield, IL, Chris Webster (Kaitlin) of Pekin, IL, and Dawson Webster; great grandchildren, Mitchell Powell, Spencer Powell, Connor Powell, Kinley Powell, Hadley Powell, and Elaina Webster; sister-in-law, Jacki Brookins of Tuscola, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean; sister, Janet Warpenburg; and brothers, Carroll Brookins, Freeman Brookins, and Elmer Brookins. Cleta was a 1963 graduate of Charleston High School. She worked as a legal secretary for Brankey and Smith Law Firm for several years prior to retirement. Cleta was a faithful member of Home Church in Charleston, IL where she compassionately volunteered with a group as "the grandmas. " Cleta's family was her number one priority. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her husband, Dean. Cleta loved spending time with her family; they would spend the day enjoying food, great company, and playing games together. Cleta also enjoyed listening to contemporary Christian music and loved all things Elvis Presley. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Home Church with Pastor Ivan "Pete" Wood officiating. Michael Dean Gordon, affectionately known as "Hoss," passed away on November 6, 2023, in Taylorville, Illinois. Born on December 14, 1961, in Germany, Mike was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, whose life was marked by dedication, love, and a unique sense of humor. He was the son of Dale and Ethel (Hooper) Gordon. Mike was a 1980 graduate of Cowden-Herrick High School. He devoted 26 years of his life to International Paper, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and his ability to bring a sense of camaraderie to the workplace. Mike was also an active member of the First Christian Church of Cowden, demonstrating his faith through service and community engagement. His commitment extended to the wider community as a supporter of the Shelby County Farm Bureau, where he contributed his time and energy to local farming initiatives. Mike was a man of many interests and hobbies, which brought joy not only to himself but also to those around him. He had a special fondness for playing cards and watching western movies and tv shows. Mike also enjoyed fishing with his sons and friends and mowing his yard. Most importantly, Mike cherished the time he spent with friends and family, creating memories that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. He is survived by his mother, Ethel, of Cowden; his three sons, Blake Gordon of Republic, Missouri, Matthew Gordon of Pana, and Jared (Carrie Ann Dilley) Gordon of Pana; his three cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Maverick, and Addilynn; and his siblings, Tom Gordon of Cowden, Sandy (Melvin) Pope of Beecher City, and Steve (Sara) Gordon of Effingham. Mike was predeceased in death by his father, Dale, and his grandparents, Everett and Louesther Gordon, and Paul and Myra Hooper. Visitation for Mike will be held from 6:00-8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Robert Lee Henson, age 75, of Taylorville, Il. and formerly of Waverly, Il. died Thursday (November 2, 2023) at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Il. He was born January 11, 1948 near Waverly, Il. son of the late Maurice and Harriett Ratliff Henson. He married Gloria Long on August 13, 1965 in Bowling Green, Mo. and she survives. Also surviving are children, Tina Hill (Ronald) of Fillmore, Il. and Bob Henson (Spring) of Taylorville, Il. ; four grandchildren, Caitlin Baker (Tyler) and Natalie Eaton (Ronnie) all of Nokomis, Il. , Matthew Hill of Fillmore, Il. , Milana Henson of Taylorville, Il. ; two step-grandchildren, Isaac Selby (fiancee Melodie Paluska) and Caleb Selby all of Taylorville, Il. ; six great-grandchildren, Gabe, Hadley, Isaiah, Anna, Calvin, and Emma; five brothers, Jim Henson of Redding, Ca. , Gene Henson (Phyllis) of Winchester, il. , John Henson (Donna) Mulberry, Ar. , Roger Henson of Carrollton, Il. , and Ronnie Henson of Waverly, Il. ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbie Henson; sisters, Joan Fletcher and Phyllis Shoemaker; and a brother, Kenny Henson in infancy. Robert was a welder, retiring from Kraft Foods in Jacksonville, Il. after many years. He was a former member of New Life Baptist Church in Waverly where he was deacon and took a mission trip to Honduras. He is a current member of Taylorville Christian Church. Robert loved to golf, hunt, play pool, and ride Harleys, taking many trips with his wife, family and friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p. m. Monday (November 6, 2023) at Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly, Il. Burial will be in Waverly East Cemetery.
