Isabel "Liz" Santiago, 72, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on August 28, 2023 from lung failure. She is predeceased by her parents Humberto and Isabel, brothers Jorge and Humberto, and niece Shalina LeBron. She leaves behind her partner Carmen, sister Lucy, nephews Eddie, Elliot, Juan and nieces Debra, Teresa and Elena. Liz always treated her nieces and nephews as her own children because she did not have biological children. She was the most loving, caring and giving person. She worked for the New York Housing Authority for over 26 years then relocated to Florida. She spent countless hours volunteering at Flagler Hospital and Wadsworth Elementary school where she was loved and remembered. Her viewing will be on held on Saturday, September 16th from 10:00-11:00 followed by a church service at 11:00 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church in Palm Coast, Florida. Antoinette Tisi of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on November 28, 2023. Born on September 2, 1933, in the Bronx, New York, she lived a remarkable 90 years, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Antoinette, affectionately known as "Sissy," was a beloved sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to be part of her world. Through the years, she built strong connections with family and friends, leaving cherished memories that will endure for generations. Her 94-year-old sister, Ernestine Tisi, eloquently captures the essence of Antoinette's impact on their lives: "She was my sister. I loved her and she loved me. If I cried, she cried with me. If I laughed, she laughed with me. I loved her, and I will love her forever. " In honoring Antoinette's memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, you keep Antoinette's sister, Ernie, in your thoughts and prayers. Ernie will be greatly missing her sister until the day they are joyfully reunited. You may also make a donation in her memory to a veteran's charity of your choice. "Leigha Janene Patten, age 37, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away on November 7, 2023 at her home in Palm Coast, FL. Leigha was born on January 29, 1986 in Houston, TX to parents Emeric Joseph \u0026quot;Rick\u0026quot; and Becky Ignelzi (nee Johnson). Her family moved many times before finally settling in North Florida. Leigha was a graduate of Clay County High School and went on to attend the University of North Florida where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She met the love of her life, Joe Patten, in Ormond Beach and they married on September 22, 2018. Together, they co-owned and operated the family business, Patten's Concrete Pumping, where Leigha's business education played a significant role in managing company growth and success. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dean Patten and bonus son Cannon Patten; her parents, Rick and Becky Ignelzi; sisters, Dawn Richelle Louise Rowley, Erin Jennifer Bryan and her husband Stephen; Lauren Marie Norton; a brother, Emeric Ignelzi, III and his wife Mandy; maternal grandfather, Richard Johnson; parents in law, Dean and Elaine Patten; and many, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Leigha was good natured with a great sense of humor and a huge heart. She was always willing to help a friend or stranger and had a unique and personal connection with each of her family members. She was raised as a Christian and loved her family deeply, valuing her time with all of them. Our sweet Leigha, she is gone too soon and we would give anything to see her big blue eyes and infectious smile one more time. Her quick-witted sense of humor and heartwarming laugh will be missed by so many. Our hearts are broken, and our souls are shattered. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Everett "Rob" Robbins Knight of Palm Coast, Florida, died peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his family on November 30, 2023. Born on August 13, 1947 in Camden, New Jersey, he spent a happy childhood and adolescence in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where he was a member of the Cape Elizabeth High School Class of 1965. He especially loved the ocean and as a young teen, spent many happy hours taking his motorboat out around to the islands of Casco Bay. After a brief stint in college, he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam in 1967-69. Everett was in the Battle of Hue and the final assault on the Citadel during the Tet Offensive. He was discharged as a sergeant. After returning home to Maine, he worked in surveying and pipefitting and worked for many years helping to build the Seabrook nuclear plant. In later years, he worked in Arizona, Alaska, and Texas but still returned to work at Cotter Industries in Danvers, Massachusetts and then back to Maine to work at National Semi-Conductor in South Portland. He retired to Florida with his wife of almost 30 years, Shirley (Welch) Knight. She pre-deceased him in 2016. Pre-deceased by his parents Ellen and Lloyd Knight, Everett is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kiser and her husband, Derek of Point Blank, Texas, as well as their four children, Emily, Sarah, Mary, and Evan, and his great-grandchild, JJ, all of Texas. Everett is also survived by his sister, Karla Knight and her husband Tom Murphy of Maynard, Massachusetts; brothers, Roy Knight and his wife Liddy Berry of Holden, Massachusetts; Cornell Knight and his wife Kay Rand of Bar Harbor, Maine; and Eric Knight and his wife Ellen of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. Everett was devoted to his country and proudly flew the American and Marine Corps flags. He loved hunting and fishing. He will be missed by family, friends, as well as his many caregivers. A graveside celebration of life will take place next summer.Show more

Frances (Franya) Markey, 89, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on July 23, 2023 at Lifestyle Living Assisted in Hollywood, FL. She was born on March 8, 1934 in Grindstone, PA to the late Samuel and Sophie Lecznar (Provoasneck). Fran was very devoted to her faith, church and family. She always kept in touch with her extended family and friends from Pennsylvania, Greenpoint, NY, Pembroke Pines, FL and Palm Coast, FL. She had a tireless work ethic, made friends easily, loved to tease and poke fun of herself, family and friends. She embraced life and loved to laugh, dance (especially to polkas), Sunday car rides and to shop. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and had a great sense of humor. A smart, tough and driven woman, Fran worked for Nolan Brown Cadillac and various retail establishments retiring before her move to Palm Coast from Macy's (previously Burdines). It was amazing that she knew people wherever she went. She always engaged those she knew as well as strangers. She loved to chat with everyone. Because she was special, she made others feel special. Fran belonged to several church and community groups including the Am Guild, Pennsylvania Club, Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary, Adoration & Legion of Mary. Frances was predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) in 2011, grandson Jack, great granddaughter Kataleya, 8 brothers and sisters as well as extended family including the Markey family. Survivors include her sons Barry (Kerri), Kevin (Donna), grandson Ryan, sister Bridget (now deceased), cousin Fran (Jerry Widek), niece Ann Marie, granddaughters Kristy (Travis), Cara (Mark) and family, Erin (Louis) Melina, nieces Linda, Cathy, Donna, the Markey family and other extended relatives. She was loved dearly and is missed by those she touched in this life. Sims Earl Jones, Jr. , 67, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. As a young man, he worked at AT&T and then became a fireman in New York, Ladder Truck 127, Engine 298. He was a member of the Uniform Firefighter's Union and proudly served his community for 17 years. Sims also served his community as a Pastor and was inspired to advocate for his community. After moving to Palm Coast, Florida he volunteered with the Florida Health Department in their Medical Reserve, volunteered with the Juvenile Justice System in Flagler County, and later worked as a Chaplain for Advent Health. Along with his wife, he was a proud foster parent; mentoring youth was a joy. Sims established and was on the board of "People Helping People," a local organization geared to give aid to those in need. As a strong community leader, Sims was also a chaplain of Religious Affairs for the NAACP in Flagler County and was the first vice president and chairman of the religious affairs, Flagler County branch, NAACP. Sims was also an active board member of the Abundant Life Ministry and continued to serve his community as a board member of the Carver Gym and was instrumental in keeping the gym open. Sims is survived by his loving wife, Philippa T. Jones; daughter, Chantell Dail; daughter, Nicole Zamor (husband, Cocherel Zamor); son, Sims Samuel Jones, III. (wife, Tricia Alleyne); brother, Michael Jones (wife, Julie Jones); brother, Wesley Jones (wife, Barbara Jones); brother, Timothy Jones (wife, Darlene Jackson-Jones); grandson, Rohan Palmer; granddaughter, Kayla Zamor; grandson, Baby Boy Jones; granddaughter, Raven Rodriguez; grandson, Kyle Rodriguez; nephew, Timothy Jones; nephew, Justin Jones; niece, Shanette Bunyan; niece, Jasmine Byas; nephew, Michael Jones; sister-in-law, Sharon Bradford; sister-in-law, Aurelia Ellison; brother-in-law, John Dail; sister-in-law, Regina Dail; sister-in-law, Jerilyn Dail; and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Jones and sister-in-law, Deborah Zimmerman. Stephen D. Roberts, 77, of Palm Coast, FL, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his residence in Florida. Steve was born in Revere, MA on March 22, 1946 and was the son of the late Edwin and Helen (White) Roberts. Steve was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1964 and was later a graduate Suffolk University in Boston. After college, he worked briefly as a manager in retail. Steve became an award-winning real estate agent for over 30 years at Century 21 Hughes, eventually settling in Peabody. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling, Doo-Wop music, singing, playing the guitar and gardening. He loved watching all the Boston sports teams, and his favorite was the Boston Red Sox. A generous man with his time and money, he enjoyed spending cherished moments with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Steve was the former husband of Beverly Doherty and Dolores Roberts. He was the loving father of Kristin D. Barsorian of Nashua, NH, Michelle L. Colman and her husband Bobbi of Newton, MA. He was the step-father of Christine Kalapinski of Ipswich, Jodi O'Connor and her husband Michael of Swampscott. He was the loving grandfather of Eliza Barsorian, Emma Colman, Samantha Benedict, Cassandra Drory and Zachary Kalapinski and his fiance Shai Myers. Steve was predeceased by his brother, David Roberts who passed in 2006 and his sister-in-law Bonnie who passed in 2012. His Funeral will be held in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, (Rt 129), Lynn on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10am with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
