Isabel Estrada Obituary

Isabel Estrada May 21, 1958- April 19, 2023 Isabel Estrada, 64, passed away April 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by family after battling cancer. She was born to Francisco Sauceda and Isabel Sauceda on May 21, 1958 in Madera, California. Isabel was a lifelong resident of Madera. She attended local schools, graduating from Madera High School in 1976. She went on to study at Reedley College and received her degree in Horticulture in 1979. Her professional career began at McMahan's, where she worked from 1979-2000, starting as a regular clerk and promoting to Office Manager. In 2000, Isabel began working at Madera Superior Courts in the Traffic Division before retiring in 2020. She received recognition for her years of dedicated service. Isabel will be remembered by so many as a warm, generous person who cared for all those around her. She had a beautiful smile and many can attest to her vibrant personality and sense of humor. She was devoted to her family; a loving wife, nurturing mother and a doting grandmother who took pride in caring for her grandchildren in her retirement. Diagnosed with lung cancer in December of 2021, Isabel fought with an amazing amount of strength and grace. Even at the most difficult points in her battle, she still managed to smile and think of others. Her family and friends will remember her for her loving spirit. Isabel was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Sauceda and oldest sister Apolinar Sauceda. Isabel is survived by her mother, Isabel Sauceda, her husband of 39 years, Gary Estrada, and her children, Gary Steven Estrada who is currently serving in the military, Christopher Estrada of Madera and Stephanie Tates (Estrada) of Madera, six grandchildren; Hayden, Jayden, Gabriel, Hazel, Rogue and Isabelle; seven siblings, Jose Sauceda, Antonio Sauceda, Herminio Sauceda and his wife Maria, Manuel Sauceda, and his wife Rosa, Serjio Sauceda and his wife Arlene, Maria Gonzalez and her husband Scott, Frances Magos and her husband Andy. Isabel is also survived by her mother-in-law. Isabel will be remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 3:00pm - 6:00pm Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Jay Chapel in Madera, California Recitation of the Rosary: 6:00pm Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Jay Chapel in Madera, California Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00am Thursday, May 4, 2023 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, California. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
