Irvin Dean Mattingly, age 63, of Berea, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2022. Irvin was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late James T. Mattingly Sr. and Evelyn Bailey Mattingly. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sears. Irvin was a nightwatchman and groundskeeper for Berea Golf Club. He is survived by his three children, Kim (Daniel) Smith, Richard Mattingly, and Tabitha (Jose') Chavez; two siblings, James Mattingly, and Dora Janet Brock; five grandchildren, Junior Chavez, Kody Geers, Selena Chavez, Adam Mattingly, and Richard Mattingly; and two granddogs, Max and Macie. The family will be accepting friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 4-6 pm at Churchill's, 100 Churchill Dr. , Berea, KY 40403.
