Mary "Iris" Labelle of Smiths Falls passed away at home on September 6, 2023. Wife of the late Bob Labelle, daughter of the late Leo Arthur Deruchie & Rose Seqal of Cornwall. Sister-in-law of Carole Deruchie of Toronto, and Corrie Labelle of Cornwall. Fondly remembered as 'Aunt Iris' by Sue & Bill Bowes' children Sarah, Erin, Adam, and John. She will be missed by her long-time friends and neighbours. Family and friends are invited to a casual gathering in celebration of Iris' life at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls (112 Beckwith St N) on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p. m. A private interment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery in Cornwall at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the O would be greatly appreciated

Passed away with family by his side at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, following a brief illness on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 51. Beloved husband and best friend for more than 28 years to Jane (nee Showler). Loving and devoted father of Zachary (Jaden) and Andrew (Desiree); and was the cherished son of Larry and Linda (nee Derbyshire) Doyle. He will be sadly missed by his brother Larry (Shannon) Doyle. Jamie is predeceased by his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Harry and Helen Showler. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law David (Wendy) Showler and Stephen (Linda) Showler, his nieces, and nephews; nieces Rianne (Travis), Keara and Layne Doyle and Katie, Emily, Kristie, Michael, Whitney, and Brett Showler. Jamie was dedicated to so many initiatives in the town of Smiths Falls. He was most proud of his involvement as a coach and President of the Smiths Falls Renegades Football Association. He was a loyal friend and will be sorely missed by so many, including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are welcome to a Memorial Mass taking place at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 a. m. Private interment will take place at a later date. Willow's family are devasted to announce her sudden passing in her sleep, where she left this world far too soon on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the precious age of 16 months. She will forever be missed by her mother Tia Titley-Stanzel and her father Seamus Gilbert. Willow was a loving sister of Kane and a grand daughter of Scott Gilbert, Anne Patenaude, Wendy Titley-Stanzel and Douglas Stanzel. Passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon McDaniel (nee Carroll), 48 years married, together for 53. Cherished father of Sherri (Scott) Kendrick, Kelly (Allen) Latimer, and Shannon McDaniel. Loving papa to Owen, Carter, Dylan and Marisa. Brother to Deb LaRocque (predeceased by Rick), Sandra Brown (predeceased by Ken), predeceased by brothers Ken McDaniel (Marg), and Gerry McDaniel (Lisa). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. In 1973, Robert began his life long career in the grocery food services industry with Loblaws starting at age 18. Earning many promotions over his career, he retired as general manager of Eastern Ontario Loblaws stores. Following retirement Robert enjoyed fishing, the sunshine, being outdoors and on the water. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Gone but never forgotten, in our hearts forever. Yeatman, Elaine February 20, 1946 - November 20. 2023 It is with a heavy sadness to announce that Elaine Yeatman has passed away in her sleep during the early morning hours of Monday 20 November, 2023. She is survived by life partner Berthe Renaud, brothers Norman and Roy, nephews Mark and Kristopher, nieces Shannon, Darlene, Natalie and Andrea and sisters-in-law Betty and Carlen. Elaine was a lovely individual who saw the good in all. She liked to laugh and chat about everything. She loved her precious pets. She was very gifted in the arts and crafts. In summary, Elaine was simply a person with a big, big heart of gold. Her kindness was always glowing. It is most definite she will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially Wilma, Lisa, Ruth and Tracy. Deborah Ruth Kidd Peacefully at Lanark Lodge on November 21, 2023, at the age of 66, Deborah Ruth Kidd passed away. Debbie is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Dan; and her father, Clive. Debbie is survived by her mother, Margaret and her siblings Paul, Beverley and Penny; and by her three daughters, Sonya, Amy (Luc) and Tiffany (Dan) and by her 5 grandchildren. Debbie fought so hard these last 20 years living with MS; she fought for her independence and for her preferences of good music and the perfect cup of coffee. She never waivered in her love of the Toronto Blue Jays, and her festive spirit was passed down to her grandchildren who loved to decorate Grandma's room for every holiday. Debbie was born in England, moving to Canada with her family as a teenager and then lived her life with Dan and the girls in Burks Falls for over 35 years. The family would like to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to the caring staff at Lanark Lodge over these past 4 years. You knew Debbie appreciated you if you could make her laugh as she told you to leave her alone. Debbie did not wish for a funeral service but rather to have her ashes spread outside where she was the happiest, amongst the fresh air, with peace and quiet. William Stafford

William Gerald Stafford passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 89. He was born on February 11, 1934, the first child of William Michael Stafford and Margaret Bertha (Hansen) of St John, NB. Bill was foremost a loving husband and father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather. He was a devout Catholic and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Bill forged ahead in life, striving to live a life worthy of his Christian calling. In his dark moments, sparks from his beloved wife, Lorraine, his siblings, fellow knights, close friends, and Fr. Aidan rekindled his life. The Holy Mass, Eucharistic adoration, Divine Mercy, the Rosary, and charitable works were central to Bill's spirituality. Bill has always been a good sports fan. He is an unwavering supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs, in his words, "one hell of a hockey team. " Bill firmly believed that the Toronto Maple Leafs would win the Stanley Cup, "when hell freezes over. " William Gerald Staffford is predeceased by his parents, wife Lorraine Stafford (Whyte), and junior brother Bernie Stafford (& Betty "Betty Lou" Stafford). Bill will be sadly missed by his brother Edward Stafford, his children Fred Ryan Stafford (Barbara Virginia), Anne Marie McLauglain (Danny Auther McLauglain), Stephen Gerald Stafford, his adopted son Fr. Aidan Dasaah, his four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his 6 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 great-nieces, and his 4 great-nephews. Bill will be fondly remembered by his extended family, Lorraine's entire family and his many fellow church parishioners and friends in the Smiths Falls and surrounding communities. She was the beloved wife of Barry Trafford, and the loving mother of Shawn (Krista) and John. Marilyn was the cherished grandmother of Kolbie and Logan and the dear sister of Doug Penman (Cindy). She was the sister-in-law of Diane (Rowan Raphael), Marlene Herenski (Bill Peters) and Elaine Evans. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Peacefully at Hazeldean Gardens, Ross passed away on Sunday, November 12 , 2023, at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marielle in 2012. Ross will be deeply missed by his daughter Louise (Sam Guzzo), and forever cherished by his grandchildren Matthew Guzzo (Brooke Hansen) and Taylor Guzzo (Ty Wendt), and great grandson Theodore. Ross is survived by his brother Ken Milligan (Shirley) and will be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends. Ross thrived on the simple things in life, sharing stories and jokes, dancing, camping, spending time with his family, making maple syrup and puttering around at Robertson Lake. He loved life and lived it to the fullest everyday. The family wish to sincerely thank all the staff, PSW's and nurses at Hazeldean Gardens Retirement Home for the excellent care and support they provided over the last couple of years. A celebration of life will be held at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth 15 Gore St. W. , Perth on Thursday, November 23 , 2023, from 1:00 - 4:00PM where we will share stories, beverages and light refreshments. Rodney Smart

Rod passed away at the Perth Site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital on November 10th, 2023. He was the cherished husband of Stephanie Smart for 48 years, father of Dan Smart and Melanie Smart of BC, step-father of Kevin Kendall (deceased) and LeeAnne Kendall-Kidd (deceased). Rod is survived by has grand-daughters Indigo and Neko Smart of Victoria BC and Lauren Kendall of Halifax NS, and his brother, Jim (Sue) of Ottawa. He was predeceased by an infant son, Timmy, his sister, Joan MacIsaac and his parents, Edna and Orval Smart. Rod was born and raised in Newmarket, Ontario. He was a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and worked as a Group Actuary in Kingston and Toronto. Upon retirement he and Stephanie bought a book and CD store in Perth where Rod became known as the Jazz Man because of his love and broad knowledge of music, but especially jazz. A gathering for family and friends is being planned for the spring of 2024. Rod's ashes will be interred at Cataraqui Cemetery Kingston along side Stephanie's mother.
