Connor Robertson

Connor Robertson

Age - 17

November 17, 2023

Connor Scott Robertson, 17 years old, died Saturday, November 11 , 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. He was born on January 11 , 2006 in Tacoma, WA as the first-born son of his loving parents, Randy and Lori Robertson. Connor will be laid to rest in a private burial with his immediate family on Monday, November 20 , 2023. Before his birth, Randy and Lori named their son Connor, which means, . There was an early awareness that Connor would be required to fight many battles. The high calling of the meaning of his name was always on the forefront of our hearts. From the very beginning our family planned for Connor to live and not die and the sanctity of his life was always a high priority. Connor was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, student, and friend. After his birth, he spent only 3 short weeks with his parents at home before going by ambulance to Seattle Children's Hospital ICU where he would spend nearly the whole first year of his life. Connor was a severely disabled little boy who lived a medically challenging life. The family navigated this in the shadows for the past 17+ years. From the moment Connor was born there were numerous traumatic medical events. Even people who knew the family well could not comprehend the depth of his challenges. Out of love for Connor, Randy & Lori were always deeply committed to his constant care and needs. He was a bright light in our lives and the warmth of his memories will be with us forever. Connor's sister, Mackenzie and brother, Alex have a depth of compassion and kindness because of the journey they have traveled with their brother. Through elementary and middle school, Connor was a student in the Bow, NH school district and he was loved well. We had numerous LNA's and nurses during his elementary years that supported the family at home and provided loving care to Connor. Most recently he was a residential student at Crystal Springs School in Assonet, MA. This was his home away from home. He was blessed with dedicated and loving caregivers that became like family to him and to us. We are forever grateful for the village of helpers that partnered with us in Connor's care. Connor was affectionately nicknamed "Little Bug". He loved balloons! He was a big fan of all things that would light up, spin, and play music. He loved to ride the dune buggy and 4-wheeler as fast as possible. He loved to downhill ski with his 1:1 and even won the Gold Medal! He loved music, especially his Daddy's guitar that still has Connor's bite marks on it today. He loved to lay his head on our lap and have us play his ladybug xylophone, which we called "David's Harp". His smile lit up the room. His laugh was infectious. His spirit was strong. He had the courage of a warrior and he fought more battles than any child should ever know. Connor was always a blessing and never a burden. It was a joy and honor to love him. While pregnant with Connor, a precious missionary prayed over Lori's belly and these words were spoken, "This child. . . This child will change the nations!" Little did Randy & Lori know, but it would be through Lori's dedication to sharing Connor's story with the world through blogging and social media that would cause this prayer to come to pass. For 17 years we shared the joys, challenges, requests, and heartbreaks of Connor's story. His life has, indeed, changed the nations and caused faith to ignite in an army of prayer warriors over the years. If Connor's life and story has touched you in any way, we would love for you to share your stories with us. Your memories will help bring purpose to this very difficult time for our family and confirm to our hearts that Connor was not invisible. It would be our honor and JOY if you would join us in a Remembrance Service at Tower Hill Church, 45 Myles Drive, Auburn, NH at 3:30pm on December 3 , 2023. There will be a brief fellowship at the conclusion of the service. For our family and friends out of state or unable to attend, please utilize the Livestream opportunity through the Tower Hill Church YouTube site. In lieu of flowers, please consider latex balloons in various colors of blue & white at the Remembrance Service. Connor loved balloons! Connor's life verse was Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. " He exemplified this verse each and every day. His life is a beautiful reminder of what courage really looks like. While Connor is gone from our presence, we rejoice that he is talking with Jesus, eating at the King's table, and running with angels. His disabilities are erased and he is free! Connor is another angel around the Throne of Heaven for all eternity. Until we see you again, We invite you to listen to two songs in Connor's memory:Show more
