Irene Wells Robichaux Martin, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 5:10pm. Irene was a native of Natchez, MS and a resident of Chauvin, LA. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at St. Joseph Church for 11:00am. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Irene is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Nedra R. Porche and husband Alvin, and Nora R. Mollere, (Terriel Mollere); daughter-in-law, Jan Robichaux; grandchildren, Brad Robichaux, Brett R. Triplett, T. J. Mollere, Katie Porche and Lacie Porche; step-children, Azalea Porche’, Christine Dieck, Roland Martin Jr. , and Dwayne Martin; siblings, Donald Wells, Marvin Wells, Carolyn W. Custer; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irene is preceded in passing by her loving 1st husband, Bagley Robichaux; and their son, Bryan Robichaux and her loving 2nd husband, Roland Martin; brother, Harvey R. Wells; sister, Louise W. Bird. Irene served her community for many generations. She was a retired teacher. She served on the Terrebonne Parish School Board and even substituted for the Parish for many years after her official retirement. Irene was a faithful Parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. Irene will be dearly missed; never forgotten and always loved by her family and friends.

Francis 'Frank' Octave Bourg, III, 76, a native and resident of Houma passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Memorial Services will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at Chauvin Funeral Home immediately following visitation, with burial in Cross Church Cemetery, formerly Grace Christian Memorial Garden, in Coteau. He is survived by one sister, Debra B. Chauvin and husband, Dean Chauvin Sr. ; two nephews, Dr. Dean Chauvin, Jr. and Charles Claudet, III; special cousin, Myrna Bourg; South Louisiana Bank Family; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and former students. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Little Bourg; his parents, Francis 'Temon' Octave Bourg, Jr. and Marie Louise Braud Bourg; his sister, Brenda Bourg Claudet; his paternal grandparents, Francis Octave Bourg Sr. and Josephine Charpentier Bourg; his maternal grandparents, Edward Braud and Helen Boudreaux Braud; nephew, Renee Francis Claudet; and his special Uncle, Robert 'Bobby' Bourg. He was a director of South Louisiana Bank from June, 1990 until April, 2023. He served as Chairman of the SLB Board from 2004-2006. He was a third generation bank director. Frank's career began in 1969 as an educator for the Terrebonne Parish School Board. While teaching, he obtained a Masters degree in Education from NSU in 1972. He was the first president of the Terrebonne Association of Educators in 1979. After fifteen years of classroom teaching at a secondary level, he became a vocational counselor for STHS, EMHS, and Vo-Tech School where he remained until his retirement. His hobbies included restoring antique furniture and old vehicles. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan. Leonard Omar Guillot (Lenny) passed away at his home in Houma, LA on December 2, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born on July 27, 1942 in New Orleans, LA to the late Henry Robert Guillot, Jr and Helen Guillot Finley. He was also preceded in death by Everette (Buddy) Sebastian, Jr his nephew. He is survived by his loving wife, Marylou Guillot and her children Jerry, Chastity, and Summer; and numerous grandchildren whom he loved and they called him "Pops. " He is also survived by his sister, Sarita Guillot Sebastian; nephew, Darryl Sebastian; and niece, Donna Sebastian. Lenny was an avid Saints fan and had his pick-up truck decorated to display it. He was also proud of his Saints memorabilia throughout his home. He loved fishing and cooking and was good at both. In his young life, Lenny was a gifted auto repair mechanic. Later he began a career in the tug boat industry beginning as a deck-hand and working his way up to a licensed Boat Captain for many years. Due a home accident with a table saw, Lenny lost all of the fingers on his left hand which caused him to retire from the tug boats. He emerged into his wife's Karaoke business "Sweet Marylou" and the Karaoke they shared. They performed at various venues on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish and in Houma where he lived. Lenny was a real people person and would record the singers as they performed, then send it to their cell phones or Facebook accounts so that their experiences singing could be replayed and enjoyed again. Lenny declared that he was happier than he had ever been in his life with Marylou and the Karaoke they shared. "MUSIC IS WHAT FEELINGS SOUND LIKE". Mrs. Willie Mae Douglas peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the age of 102 yrs. old. A native and resident of Houma, LA. She was married to the late Gilbert Douglas, Sr. , the two are now united in heaven. Mrs. Willie Mae embraced the cherished role of a devoted mother to Joyce Douglas, Sheliah Douglas Chester, Melvin Douglas, and Gilbert Douglas, Jr. daughter-in-laws: Patricia Douglas & Sybil Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Douglas, Sr. , sons: Alfred Douglas and Graham Douglas, parents: Sarah Jane McGee and Gus Hill, sisters: Thelma McGee, Bealuh Lucy Copeland, Hester H. Brown, brother: William "Bill" McGee. Her legacy extends beyond immediate family, touching the lives of a wide circle of affectionate grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. Mona is survived by her daughter, Julie Blanchard (Bucky Angelette); son, Tim Pellegrin (Heidi); grandchildren, Ross Pellegrin, Elizabeth Pellegrin, Griffin Blanchard, and Jackson Blanchard; and brother, Jerry Carlos (Beth). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Pellegrin; parents, Randolph and Felma Carlos; infant daughter, Marie Pellegrin; and siblings, Barbara Whitney, Randolph Carlos, Jr. , and Bert Carlos. Mona was a nurturing and dedicated mother to her son, Tim Pellegrin, and daughter, Julie Blanchard. She always cherished spending time with her children, sharing laughter, stories, and creating unforgettable memories. Mona's appreciation for family extended to her daughter-in-law, Heidi Pellegrin, and Bucky Angelette, whom she considered a dear member of her own family. Mona found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, finding solace and peace while fishing in lake Decade. She delighted in the thrill of casting her line and patiently waiting for the fish to bite. When she wasn't on the water, Mona could always be found in her kitchen, passionately cooking up mouthwatering delicacies that brought people together. Her culinary creations will forever be treasured by her loved ones. Not only was Mona a devoted mother and talented cook, but she also cherished her role as a grandmother. Catherine Lynn Hendrix (Cathy), 65, passed away in the early morning hours of December 1, 2023. Born September 29, 1958, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Cathy spent most of her childhood in Morgan City. She graduated from Morgan City High School in 1976 and attended Louisiana State University, where she began a long and successful career in the music industry. Cathy worked in publicity, promotions, and artist management, serving as a liaison between record labels, booking agents, publicists, and artists, including singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith, with whom she worked for many years. She retired from her position as Director of Online Communications at Centerstone in Nashville, TN in 2019; prior to that, she served as Director of Communications for the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee. Cathy returned to South Louisiana in 2020, where she resided in Houma, LA until her death. Cathy is survived by her sisters, Susan Hendrix Brumfield and Sarah Hendrix Todd; brother-in-law Mark Todd; nieces Erin Todd Menge (Evan) and Kelly Todd VandeGuchte (Drew); great-nieces and nephews Brendon, Logan, and Draven Menge, Alice Daigle and Ruby June VandeGuchte; cousins Mike Walters, Jim Melvin (Sue), Ricky Melvin (Deborah), Rocky Melvin (Sandra), and Erica Robicheaux (Kirk) and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Marlene Hendrix. Cathy was passionate about music, fascinated by pop culture and devoted to her dog, Hermione. She was an excellent cook and writer; her clever wit and sharp observations are reflected in blogs posted on her website. She volunteered at the Shady Acres Senior Center, where she enjoyed weekly karaoke each Thursday morning. A memorial gathering in celebration of Cathy's life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Chauvin Sculpture Garden in Chauvin, Louisiana (near Houma).
