IRA LUCIAN "Lou" WILEY, 90, of Barboursville, W. Va. , passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was born December 19, 1932, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Joe and Dora Taylor Wiley. His beloved wife, Frances "Sandy" Wiley, daughter; Angela Foley; grandson, Josh Foley; great grandson Caleb Edwards; brothers, Marion "Bob" and Ben Wiley Sr. ; and sister, Annie Ramey, preceded him in death. Survivors include his siblings, Sallie Ferguson, Carol (Hurston) Webb, and Ted (Jean) Wiley; his children, Marshall Wiley, Mike (Taryn) Plant, Patti Risk, Bob (Jemmis) Plant, Sue (Larry) Chlebek, and Lynda (Randy) Vandierendonck; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a. m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Joseph Taylor Cemetery, Cove Gap, W. Va. Friends may call from 6 - 8p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A special thanks goes out to Pleasant Valley Nursing staff for their care of Lou and to Harmony Freewill Baptist Church for the lunch that will follow burial.

BARBARA ANN QUEEN, 81, of Wayne, W. Va. , went home to rejoice with the Lord Friday, November 3, 2023, at her home. She was born December 8, 1941, in Stiltner, W. Va. , a daughter of the late Garland "Boo Boo" Ramey and Lena Marie Ramey; brothers Shelton Ramey, and O'Dell (Nilene) Ramey; one son James Lucas; one grandson Michael Nicely; and one granddaughter, Barbara Renea Nicely. Barbara was a member of Laurel Freewill Baptist Church. She always enjoyed singing her hymns both in and out of church. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandbabies. She leaves behind her husband, Sammie Queen; two daughters, Samantha (Junior) Noble of Wayne, and Lena Lucas Dello of Huntington, W. Va. ; seven beloved grandchildren including Barbara (Marcus) Spurlock, who stayed by her side these last few months, Tyler Adkins, Jennings "Trey" Noble, Julianna "Chickie" Noble, all of Wayne, Racheal Nicely of Huntington, James "J. T. " Lucas (Kimmy Wilson) of Radnor, W. Va. , and Cara Dello of Wales, U. K. ; and great grandchildren Journee Spurlock, Sammi Spurlock, Sophia Nicely, Nyanna Taylor, Alanah Taylor, and Waylon Cash Lucas. Also surviving is one sister, Glenna Vance of Wayne; one sister-in-law, Emogene Ramey of Wayne; special niece Sarah (Steve) Wyke of Texas; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p. m. Monday, November 6, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Bill Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens.
