Loudonville, New York Indira Gadangi, 83, of Loudonville started her crossing over journey on Thursday Oct. 5, 2023 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after an illness. She was born on Nov. 10, 1939 in Warangal, India and was the daughter of the late Chandramowli and Rambai Rama. She was educated in India. Indira was the beloved wife of Balakrishna Gadangi. She and her husband came to the United States in 1987. She proudly received her US citizenship in 2008. She was a member of the Albany Hindu Temple. She is the beloved wife of Balakrishna who survives; the devoted mother of Vasantha Battu, MD (Kalyana, MD), Pratap Kumar Gadangi, MD (Neena MD), Ashok Kumar Gadangi, (Sharmi Pillarisetti) and Sabitha Vasireddy, MD (Venugopal Kiran Vasireddy, MD); dear grandmother of Subha (Mark), Bharat (Audrey), Swathi, Divya, Prateek (Jenny) and Puneeth; dear great grandmother of Basil, Sage, Arlo, Ava, Sonia and Griffith; sister of Kalidas Rama (Lalitha), Bhavani Gadangi (Babu Rao, MD), MadhuravaniMiriyala (Chakrapani) and Vijaya Rama; Also survived by several dear nieces and nephews. The Hindu Ritual was held on Friday Oct. 6, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Thomas J. Sullivan of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Sunday Nov. 26, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Troy, NY, the son of the late Henry and Helen Agnes Lennon Sullivan. Tom was raised in Mechanicville and was a graduate of Mechanicville High School. He was a manager for General Electric Co. Information Services in Schenectady for over 30 years. Tom was a kind man who enjoyed helping others. He was an honorary member of the Residence Encounter Christ Program for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, where he volunteered in the prison ministry. He was a devoted communicant and volunteer for Corpus Christi Church. Tom was a member of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Lions Club and the Clifton Park Elks Club. An avid sports fan, Tom enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams: The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team, The NY Giants and the NY Yankees. He also loved going to the horse races every summer in Saratoga, traveling and spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of Alice A. Jerzykiewicz Sullivan for 49 years; loving father of Thomas J. (Lisa) Sullivan, Jr. of Sun Valley, CA and Karen A. (Bruce) Bagstad of Clifton Park, NY; cherished grandfather of Patrick Sullivan, Michael (Eir) Sullivan, Amber (Sean) Cooleen, and Bryan (Diana) Bagstad; great grandfather to Harrison, Elijah, Scarlett, Emilia, Ruby and Juliet. He was a dear brother to Patricia (Fred) Donovan of Schaghticoke, NY, the late James Sullivan, William Sullivan, Helen Dennison and Jean Stoddard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family extends special thanks to the Ellis Hospital 4 . floor staff and the staff of the Glendale Manor for their kindness and the excellent care they gave to Tom. Schaghticoke, New York CHARLES J. TKAL Charles J. "Charlie" Tkal, 32, of Schaghticoke, beloved husband for 6 years to Katie L. Milne Tkal, passed away following a heroic 18-month battle with Colon Cancer, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Troy, NY, he was the devoted son of Karen Strope (Paul) Cady and Greg (Melissa) Tkal and was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School in Schahgticoke. Charlie had been employed as the Manager at Hudson Valley Bee Supply in Kingston where he held a few positions having worked his way up through the ranks over the years. Charlie loved music, playing the guitar and drums as well as video games, particularly Dungeons & Dragons. He also loved beekeeping, gardening, hiking, being outdoors in general and Viking re-enactments as part of the Norseland group. Charlie was most passionate about his family and friends. He was well known for his jokes and infectious smile that could brighten anyone's day. In addition to his beloved wife Katie, parents Karen (Paul) and Greg (Melissa), Charlie is the much adored father of Marley (10), Warren (7) and Samuel (4) Tkal, loving grandson of Charlene (late Howard) Strope, dear brother of Ryan (Caitlin) Cady, Kristen (Chris) Dindio, the late Megan MacLean, Evan and Julia Hatch, cherished son-in-law of George and Holly Milne, and is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Honorable Gilbert L. Abramson Honorable Gilbert L. Abramson, age 65, retired judge of the Saratoga County Family Court and former attorney died peacefully at his home on November 23, 2023 after a long illness. He is survived by his high school sweetheart Beth Anne Abramson (nee Messinger), son Joshua Russell Abramson, mother Shirley Abramson, brother Clifford Abramson (Jamie), sister Leba LuKacher (Ken), brother Neil Abramson (Amy), brother-in-law Keith Messinger, nephew Benjamin, nieces Isabelle and Madeline, and many cousins. Gil graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in Yorktown Heights in 1975. He then attended the University at Albany, where he received his BA in Political Science and his Masters in Public Administration. Gil subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. In his early years, he ran political campaigns in both upstate and downstate New York. Gil worked in the NYS legislature for Assemblyman Jon Fossel, Senator Mary Goodhue, and Senator Stephen Saland becoming the Counsel to the Senate Committee on Children and Families. Gil also practiced Family Law at the Herrmann, Pelagalli and Abramson law firm, and was the Deputy Town Attorney in the Town of Halfmoon. Later, he served as the Town of Halfmoon Republican Chairman. The culmination of his legal career was ascending to the Family Court Bench, where he was able to fulfill his passion for helping children. Gil was an avid fisherman and never missed a chance to watch his beloved Minnesota Vikings, Kung Fu movies and wrestling on TV. Lithia, Florida COMMANDER RICHARD R. BARTIS, U. S. NAVY, RET. Commander Richard R. Bartis, U. S. Navy, Retired, 66, of Lithia, FL and formerly of Schaghticoke, peacefully entered into eternal life in the comfort of home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with ALS. Rick was born in Cohoes, NY. He was predeceased by his loving parents Richard L. and Jane F. Scullen Bartis and a devoted son, Michael J. Bartis. Rick was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School in Schaghticoke, Springfield College where he earned his Bachelor's degree and the University of Phoenix where he earned his Master's Degree. Rick joined the U. S. Navy in 1980 as a helicopter pilot and retired as Commander in 2005. After retiring from a 25 year naval career, Commander Bartis worked at US Central Command in Tampa, FL, as a private government contractor. Rick loved sports in general but particularly golf, football and hockey. He also loved physical fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, completing the Honolulu Marathon, twice. Rick is survived by the love of his life, Lynne Kyer Bartis of Lithia, FL and their children; Heather L. (Jason) Stinson of Niskayuna and Richard M. Alane "Lanie" S. (Atwell) Kosower, age 71 of Ballston Spa passed away peacefully surrounded by family at The Community Hospice Inn in St Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY on Monday, November 20, 2023 after 9 months of battling multiple health complications. She was born in Elmira, NY. In her final hours she shared she was grateful for her awesome life and that we'd see her again dancing in heaven, reunited with her predeceased father Allan P. Atwell and mother Neva C. Atwell, her beloved husband Karl C. Kosower, sister-in-law Linda Fay Snare Atwell, and other friends & family who have gone before her. Lanie was raised in Breesport, NY and moved to Clifton Park in 1969. She graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1971 where she was actively involved in theater and the arts; her claim to fame included her lead role as Fiona MacLauren in the Broadway musical Brigadoon. She attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, where she was the only Freshman to make the Traveling Choir; enjoying their performance trip to California. No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart - and Lanie's heart beamed! She spent the last several decades of her career as a Home Health Caregiver, illuminating the elderly season of many people's lives. Lanie loved all sorts of plants and flowers, cultivating life with a tremendous green thumb. She was a talented artist and photographer, winning countless awards for her long exposure night photography and other artistic creations. You may have seen her at the Saratoga County Fair, as she was a faithful volunteer of The Lewis Building for decades. She is survived by her adored cat Push, her siblings Jerrold (Margaret) Atwell, Barbara Atwell, Jeffrey Atwell, and Jonathan (Jen) Atwell; nieces and nephews Rebecca Atwell (Mike Walpole), Sarah (John) Richburg, twins Brady and Bradley Atwell, Nancy Gajewski, Connie Kendig, Julianna, Vanessa, and Evan. She especially cherished her great-nephews and great-niece John Joseph III, Hunter, Zayden, & Skylar. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00PM at the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life bonfire will follow at Kamelot in Ballston Spa. Kosier, 86, of Clifton Park, beloved husband for 57 years to Millicent "Millie" (Bernard) Kosier, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, November 17, 2023, from the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Stella (Cherubin) Kosier. Jack was a graduate of Niagara University. He pursued an advanced degree in Chemistry at Syracuse University. It is the friendships he developed at Niagara that would shape his life's path. The wedding of Jack's college roommate, Gerard Ryan, to Barbara marked a turning point. It was there that Jack crossed paths with Millie, Barbara's college roommate. This serendipitous encounter marked the beginning of their lifelong journey together. Jack thrived in social gatherings, big and small, reveling in the company of others. He greeted everyone with "Hello, Friend. " He possessed a remarkable ability to forge connections effortlessly, delighting in engaging conversations and swiftly moving from acquaintance to friend to all who crossed his path. His welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Jack was an enthusiast of baseball, football, and also the thrilling atmosphere of the track at Saratoga Race Course. He found joy in spending summer nights at SPAC and Tanglewood. He loved the simple pleasure of driving. When freedom of the open road beckoned to him, he piled the family in the station wagon and took road trips all over the Northeast. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time traveling nationally and internationally. His faith was a very important part of his life, and he was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Clifton Park. Jack served in the U. S. Army and the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1968. Mr. Kosier was self-employed as a financial advisor until he retired in 2019. Beloved husband to Millie, devoted father of Gregory Kosier (Yun Han) of Los Angeles, CA, Allison Faul (David) of Clifton Park, NY, Andrea DeBow (Brooks) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Nadine Kosier (Gene Hackett) of Clifton Park, NY, cherished grandfather of Anderson, Sawyer, Emerson, Bennett, Oliver, Graham and Aiden, loving brother of Marianne "Nan" Canfield (late, Charles), also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.
