Imogene Papp (Schottman), of New Milford, died 6/20/22. Imogene attended St. Joseph Grammar School, Academy of the Holy Angels High School, Bergen Community College, and graduated from Ramapo College with a European history degree. Imogene worked at Bergen Community College Library for 40 years. She was the evening face of the library circulation desk for most of that time, prior to retiring. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her generous spirit, her humility, her loving heart and care for her extended family, her horticultural skills and love of animals. During her 5 year battle with endometrial metastatic cancer, Imogene volunteered at Englewood hospital helping to escort patients. She was an usher at St. Joseph Church in Oradell, and was part of the Friends of New Milford Library volunteer group. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert, her sister Geraldine, brother Tim; many dear cousins, their families, longtime friends and neighbors. It was Imogene's wish to be cremated. All are welcome to a memorial Mass to be held at St. Joseph Church, Oradell / New Milford, on Friday, June 24th at 10:00am. In Imogene's memory, donations to the Englewood Hospital Foundation, St. Joseph Church, or the Visiting Nurse Association of Englewood, would be welcome.
