On October 3rd, 2023, Ida Mae Morgan went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on November 2nd, 1935 to parents, Pleasant and Agnes Knox in Hamiliton, Ohio. Ida was one of eleven children born to the Knox family. They were a close, Christian family raised by a loving mother and father. She graduated from Hamilton High School and held numerous local jobs after her graduation. Several years later, Ida met and married John Richmond. They moved to Oklahoma and had one child, Joni Richmond, who passed away on January 7, 2023 after a long illness. While in Oklahoma, Ida worked for the Oklahoma Bar Association as a legal secretary for a local attorney. After her divorce, a friend introduced Ida to John Morgan, a former preacher living in Conroe, Texas. They corresponded for over 2 years and eventually were married in 1993. Two years later, John had a massive stroke and Ida had to take over his health care, job, car, banking, bills, and all other house responsibilities. None of us thought she could possibly do it, but she found a way!!Ida was never a quitter. She was a hard worker, smart, punctual, loyal, sympathetic, and always had a great sense of humor within it all. Ida was preceded in death by her mother, dad, daughter, brothers, Kenneth and Ed, and sisters, Bea, Marie, Rose, and Sandy. She is survived by her sisters, Betty, Lois, Linda, and Donna, as well as many other family members and countless friends. Ida's family and James Miles (her companion for her last 15 years) wish to sincerely express their thanks and appreciation to Heart to Heart Hospice, whose loving care, personal attention, and humane treatment allowed Ida to die in peace and with her dignity. "Ida, what will I do without you!! Over the last 15 years, we have shared a few lows, but definitely shared many more highs. We've shared a few tears, but we've also shared so many wonderful memories together. The only peace I get from this is knowing you have no more pain, confusion, or a brain that has been destroyed by darkness. We love you always~~Please contribute to the fight against Alzheimer's Disease in honor of our dear Ida! She may not have won her fight here on earth with illness, but now as she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, healed and free from all sickness and pain, she has won the war! "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness. . . " 2 Timothy 4:7-8
