Ian S. Girsch of Harrisburg on passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. Ian served in the U.S. Navy as an operating room technician and a medical field service technician at the Naval Hospital in Long Beach, Ca. After returning home to Harrisburg, PA he worked as a surgical assistant in the operating room at several local hospitals. He also worked with patients as a nurse aid at a psychiatric group home, and was a trained optical assistant. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching sci-fi films and documentaries, going on nature walks and spending time with his friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald F. Girsch. Ian is survived by his; mother, Audrey L. Girsch; two children Emily (James) Teslow and Michael Girsch; granddaughter Ella Teslow; brother Craig M. (Connie) Girsch of Middletown, nieces and nephews Madison (Crystal) Girsch, Jillian (Josh) Claybaugh and Lindsey Reese. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Beth El Cemetery with Rabbi Eric Cytryn officiating.
