Obituary of Howard Robbins Howard D. Robbins DeWitt Township Age 78, was called home to the Lord on January 31, 2019. Born August 17, 1940 in Escanaba, MI. Howard honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. Local #652, the Loyal Order of Moose #2291, FOE #1039, and the V.F.W. Post #671. Howard was an avid deer hunter, loved fishing, spending time in his garden and creating endless treasures in his woodshop. Howard our father, brother and grandpa was known by many and loved by all. Howard was also expecting 3 great-grandbabies who didn't arrive in time to meet their amazing great-grandpa. Howard was the center of his family and will be deeply missed by all. Survived by his 4 children, Ronald (Paige) Robbins, Tammy (Brian) Bates, Doug (Karie) Robbins, and Daniel (Sandy) Robbins; his companion, Mary Shinevar; 9 grandchildren, Shane (Monica) Robbins, Jennifer (Dustin) Ditsworth, Zach (Skylar) Bates, David Zigler, Nicole Robbins, Samantha King, Brett Robbins, Kayla (Scott) Hull, Carson Robbins; 3 great-grandchildren (on the way); sister, Judy (Mark) Ash; 5 brothers, Wayne (Marlene), Paul (Sharon), Kenny (Loretta), Gary (Linda), and Tony (Marcia) Robbins; many nieces, nephews and other special friends, family and neighbors. Howard was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey and his parents Peter Alvin & Anna (Casimer) Robbins. The family would also like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at McLaren Greater Lansing Greenlawn Campus who provided amazing care and support to Howard during his last days. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Celebration of Life dinner information will be available at the visitation.Military Honors will be proved by Morley Oates V.F.W. Post #701 at 2:00 P.M.Thursday.
