Horace R. Correia, 91, of Syracuse passed away Saturday. He was a life resident of Syracuse and retired from Allied Chemical where he worked for 29 years. He served his country proudly during the Korean War serving in the US Army. Horace was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 644 and 625; member of the VFW Post 370 and American Legion Post 1361. He is predeceased by his wife, Theresa; two sons, Joseph, and Michael Correia. Survivors include his five daughters, Theresa (William) Raite of Syracuse, Donna (Michael) Schapley of North Syracuse, Susan (Stanley) Kot of Florida, Mary (David) Swedowski of Syracuse, Kathy Correia of Liverpool; four sons, Richard (Marilyn) Correia of Syracuse, Peter (Robie) Correia, Anthony (Melinda) Correia and Philip Correia; 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
