Bath - Hope L. Swarts, 59 years of age, passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, Tuesday evening, October 3, 2023. Hope's family and friends may call Saturday October 21, 2023 from 10-11am at St. Peter's Church, Perkinsville. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 11am at St. Peter's Church. Committal prayers and interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of her family.

Springwater - Beverly J. VanScooter, 87 years of age, passed away Sunday morning, November 19, 2023 at the Vincent House in Wayland. Beverly was born March 27, 1936 in Rochester the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Thorpe) Proctor. She grew up in Hemlock and moved to Websters Crossing in the mid 1950's and has remained there ever since. Beverly and Clifford VanScooter Sr. were married in June of 1955 and together celebrated over 42 years together prior to Clifford passing away in January of 1997. Beverly enjoyed staying home and being a housewife and homemaker for her family. Beverly enjoyed reading, crocheting and completing crossword puzzles. She and Clifford were very active in the operation of the Conlon-Mulvaney American Legion Post in Conesus. As a member of the auxiliary she would volunteer her time and efforts for years. Beverly was pre-deceased by her parents, Charles and Thelma Proctor; and her husband Clifford Sr. in 1997; along with several siblings. She is survived by her children, Andrea (Carl) Cromp of Websters Crossing, Clifford Jr. (Deanna) VanScooter of Websters Crossing, Thomas (Lisa) VanScooter of Conesus, Scott (Debbie) VanScooter of IN and Cindy VanScooter of Dansville; her grandchildren, Kerry (Andrew) Ward, Alicia (Tom) Carter, Brittany (Jake) Turner, Jessica (Andy) Cooper, Ashley Churpita Jasmine VanScooter, Rachael Eastman, Jonathon VanDurme and Jamie Kibler; her great-grandchildren, Hayleigh and Kinsley; along with several nieces and nephews. Beverly's funeral service will be private and at the convenience of her family along with interment at Erwin Cemetery. Dansville / Springwater - John Henry Wagner, 59 years of age, passed away Thursday October 12, 2023 at his home in Dansville. John was born July 9, 1964 in Dansville the son of Carl Wagner and Jacqueline Smith. He grew up on Conesus Lake and attended Livonia Central School. Throughout the years John also resided in Wayland, Springwater and last year moved to Dansville. In July of 2019 John retired from Groveland Correctional Facility after a 37 year career. After being together for 15 years, John and Pamela Lippens were married July 3, 2011 at their home in Springwater. John enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, shooting trap and collecting wizards and dragons,. John had a wonderful sense of humor and could always be counted on for a joke! He loved all his family, helping when he could as he was the "fixer upper and go to man!" John was pre-deceased by his step father, Neil Abbott: and his brother in law, James Priestley. He is survived by his wife Pam Wagner of Dansville; his daughter, Katie Wagner of Henrietta; his son Joshua Wagner of Wayland; his father and stepmother Carl and Sarah Wagner of Dansville; his mother Jacqueline Abbott (Calvin Cox) of Conesus; his step daughters, Stacy Foster (Jim Mack) of Wayland, Angela (Dan) Hughson of Webster, Elizabeth (Patrick) Moran of Ontario, NY, Bambi (John) Akright of Niagara Falls, Candice (Jason) Pearson of West Point; his step son Adam Richards of Hilton; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; his sisters, Dawn Priestley of FL and Carlene (Rick) Fletcher of FL; his step sister Tammy Malone of Dansville; his uncle and aunt, Lewis and Marjorie Wagner of Arkport; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John's family and friends may call Friday October 20, 2023 from 4-7pm at St. George-Forsythe Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St. , Wayland. John's funeral service will take place immediately following calling hours at 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenmount Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
