Herminia Duran, a beloved woman, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023 at the age of eighty-four. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and open-heartedness that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Herminia was born on March 8, 1939 in Puerto Rico where she spent her formative years, learning the values of compassion and acceptance. She carried these values with her throughout her life and made it her mission to welcome people into her life with open arms. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Herminia's family meant the world to her. She showered them with unwavering love and devotion, creating countless cherished memories. Her wisdom and guidance were invaluable, and her legacy of love will continue to guide her family for generations to come. One of Herminia's most endearing qualities was her sense of humor and quick wit. She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, even in the darkest of times. Her infectious laughter was a source of joy for her family, and her jokes and anecdotes will continue to bring smiles to their faces. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. She welcomed furry friends into her home with open arms and treated them as cherished members of her family. Her warm smile and nurturing spirit made everyone feel cherished and valued. Herminia Duran joins her husband Lumen Duran whom she was married to for sixty-six years, and siblings Amelia, Juan, Angelica, Antonio, Bernardo, Ignacio & Margarita Rodriguez Perez. She is survived by her sons George & Edwin Duran, grandchildren George Duran, Crystal Gonzalez & Alexandra Perez, daughter in law Jossie Duran, a host of granddaughters, grandsons, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Though Herminia may no longer be with us in person, her love and spirit will forever live on, a beacon of light in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. Raymond Lee Redfern departed this life on November 11, 2023. Raymond Lee Redfern aka "Woody" was born to the late Olden and Catherine Redfern in Marshville, North Carolina and later relocated to Paterson, New Jersey. Raymond resided in Paterson and attended the Paterson Public School 24 and then attended Eastside High School in Paterson. Raymond loved hanging out and playing basketball at the playground of School 24, playing the pinball and Ms. Pacman machines. Another one of his favorite pass times was listening to music and collecting the latest albums. Raymond enjoyed watching and helping his mother and father prepare food. Soon Raymond became an excellent cook and prided his self on his culinary skills. Whenever there was a family gathering you would be sure to see "Woody" on the grill!Raymond was employed as dishwasher at a young age for Houlihan's. Raymond was gainfully employed for over 10 years at Garden State Sausage formally located in Totowa, New Jersey. He also was a manager for McDonald's on Broad and Market Street in Paterson, as well as a manager in the meat department at the former Pathmark. Raymond was preceded in death by his Father Olden and Mother Catherine Redfern; two brothers Hugh Lester and John Alvin Redfern; one sister Julia Francine Redfern and two sons, Rajahn Jum'el Alston and Rajamir Kenyam Alston. Raymond leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Rasheeda, Raimona, Rashima and Rasheedi Alston and one son Isaiah Savage; thirteen grandchildren, one brother Olin Leon Redfern; two sisters Beulah Diane Redfern and Elsie Claretha Redfern; one stepbrother of North Carolina and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Rose Wright Coleman was born July 26, 1934, in Yemassee, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Willie Wright and Mary Belle Palmer. After living in South Carolina for a period of time, Rose relocated to Paterson, NJ where she met and married her husband Lewis H. Coleman also known as "Joe. "Rose was employed as a laundry attendant for 20 years and also as a house cleaning service provider. Later in life she volunteered her time, money, and energy to several churches. Rose definitely had the gift of sharing. She was always willing to assist anyone that needed her. She was a faithful member of the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist church- Paterson. Anyone who knew Rose affectionately known as "Miss Rose" knew that she was feisty but was a faithful servant who loved God. Some of her hobbies included walking, cooking, listening to gospel music, playing the lottery, and reading the Bible. Her favorite bible verse was PSALMS 91, which she faithfully prayed over her family daily whom she loved deeply. On Wednesday November 15, 2023, Rose departed this life and traded labor for reward. She was preceded in death by her husband; Lewis H. Coleman, parents; Willie Wright and Mary Belle Palmer, 3 sisters; Ella Wright, Betty Ladson, and Jonny Mae Wright and 4 brothers; Joseph, Steven, Willie and Henry. Rose leaves precious memories to 1 son; Lewis H. Coleman Jr (Jay), 1 niece/Daughter; Yvonne Smith, daughter in law; Veronica Coleman, 4 grandchildren; Jurod Coleman, Jamar Coleman, Marquis Coleman, and Kaala Coleman-Butts (Joshua Butts), 3 great grandchildren; Jamar Coleman Jr, Kali Coleman, and Joshua Butts Jr, special cousins; Ledina Ladson "Deanie" Robert Ladson, Austin Ladson, and a host of other relatives, cousins and friends.Show more

Aurelio E. Bravo Coronel passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023 at the age of 74. He was born on March 4, 1949 in Lince, Lima, Peru. A loving husband, devoted father, hard worker and cherished friend touched the lives of many with his sense of humor, strength and unconditional love. He is survived by his loving wife, Luisa Bravo, son Paul, daughters Karina, Julie and Candy, grandchildren Claudia, Ib, Angelika, Mia and Luca and an extensive circle of friends and companions who will deeply miss his presence and larger than life personality. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will live on in our hearts and memories forever. A celebration of Aurelio's life will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Martinez Memorial in Paterson, NJ from 4 pm - 8 pm. Aurelio E.
