Helen C. Wesch 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was born in Schenectady, New York on March 1, 1947, to John and Elizabeth Soltysiak. Helen was an alcohol and substance abuse counselor for Transitional Services in Saratoga Springs. She enjoyed the view of nature while taking a long drive, watching movies, and spending time with Poppy, her Chihuahua. She was predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Soltysiak and her son Karl Wesch. Helen is survived by her husband Alfred Wesch, sons Robert Wesch and John Wesch, grandchildren Marion, Christopher, Natasha, Jessica, and Dakota, siblings Patricia Hunt, Janet Chase, George Soltysiak, and Mary Herzog, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 15 at East Galway Cemetery, Welch Road, Galway.

He departed this world at the age of 70, peacefully and blanketed by the cherished memories he leaves behind. Born on July 25, 1953, in Auburn, NY, Donald was a beacon of strength and wisdom to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, he touched the lives of many with his unwavering love and guidance. Donald was a man of integrity, known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. His commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of his life, and his legacy lives on through the values he instilled in those he leaves behind. A lifelong learner, Donald had a passion for hunting, horse racing, baseball, and being together with his family and friends. Whether he was sharing stories around the dinner table, offering words of wisdom, or simply lending a listening ear, he made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. In addition to his role as a devoted family man, Donald worked for the NYS Department of Parole for over 30 years and was very passionate about his profession. He wanted to be sure that he helped to make the world a safer place for those that he loved. He has left an indelible mark, and his memory will be cherished by colleagues, friends, and the community at large. He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Christopher Schelin) and Ryan (Jennifer Murphy-Fries). His memory will forever be treasured by his grandchildren, Lilah Schelin and Hunter Fries, and a host of other relatives and friends. Eric S. Kuring, 24, of Ballston Spa, New York, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, at home in the loving care of his parents Sherry and Steven Kuring. He was born on May 4th (May the Fourth be with you), 1999, in Louisville, Kentucky. Eric was a remarkable warrior in his battle against a long-term mitochondrial illness, whose indominable spirit and uninhibited humor inspired so many people who came in touch with him. His remarkable super power was that he could bring out the best in everyone. He leaves behind his parents, his sister, Shelby, his grandmother, Ingeborg Kuring, loving cousins, adoring aunts and uncles, his girlfriend of many years, Amanda Ronca, and many, many dear friends and families. He passionately engaged so many and was loved in equal measure in return. He goes into the loving embrace of those that who went before him and cherished him, his grandparents Dieter Kuring and Harold and Jane Rathburn. He was able to beautifully touch the lives of so many people in his too-short 24 years. Bonita Design, 81, earned her wings on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at home with her loved ones by her side, after a 7-year battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. A lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, Bonnie married her high school sweetheart, Patrick, and they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage together. Together, they had two children and opened their home to raise four more children, including two nieces and one nephew. She showered each and every one of them with love, kindness, and faith. Bonnie's passions were her family and adored children. She devoted her time and energy into making each one feel special, valued, and truly loved. Bonnie worked alongside her beloved husband at their family restaurant, Uncle Sams. Later she worked professionally in the Saratoga County Administrative Office, Saratoga Springs City Court, and the New York State Unified Court System. Upon retiring, she started her favorite position, as nanny to two small children. Bonnie championed the underdogs, broken-hearted, and lost souls. Her calming mannerisms and open heart would be a balm to their souls. People were drawn to her ability to be non-judgmental and understanding. Her ability to listen intently and discern the true underlying issues gave her strength to help many onto better pathways of life. Her immense love of family, sense of humor, and infinite heart will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother Muriel Sutton, father William Sutton, mother-in-law Columbia Design, and father-in-law Samuel Design. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Patrick, her two children Samuel (Jennifer) Design and Patricia (James) Design-Dorey, three grandchildren, whom she adored, Alex (Ashley) Design, Cody Design, and Ashley (Robert) Hannan, great grandson Jackson, nieces Sandy (Howard) Pinsley, Gerianne (John) Hoffman, nephew Paul Batchelder, and her three siblings. A memorial service will be held on a later date. Albert R. Schmidt, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 24, 1942, to Ewald and Hildegard Schmidt. Al owned and operated Al's Malta TV for 36 years, retiring in 2008. Al was involved in his community as a member of Malta Rotary and the Community Emergency Response Team. He was active in the Malta Ridge Methodist Church, helping with many church events. He enjoyed classic cars and was a member of the Upstate Thunderbird Club. In his free time, he was a creative woodworker, creating many wood crafts. Al was always there to lend a hand and make you laugh with a quick joke. Working with Al was never work because he always had a smile and a funny story to share. He will be missed by all who knew him. Al always said "Schmidt happens"Al is survived by his wife of 20 years Arlene Schmidt, children Albert Schmidt (Kelly), Mark Schmidt (Faye), Tamara Brognano (Joe), and Ian Widrick, grandchildren Albert Jr. , Riley, Braiden, Brenna, Nick, and Matt, brother Ralph Schmidt (Donna), nephew Phillip Schmidt (Nicole), great nieces Emma and Mia, and his beloved cat Buddy. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret and his daughter Laura.
