Helen Hyatt Obituary

Helen Ruth Morris Hyatt, age 86, of Cynthiana, KY, passed away on October 5, 2023, at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, KY. She was born in Nicholas County, KY, on January 19, 1937, to the late Roscoe and Thelma Macie Snapp Morris. Helen is also preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Whalen Jr. , and then her second husband, Robert N. Hyatt; a son, Terry Franklin Whalen; a daughter, Jona Ray Whalen Helvey; brother, Stanley Morris; and one sister, Jewell Ishmael. Helen is survived by one son, Greg (Linda) Whalen; two sisters, Faye (Arthur) Buzzard, Charlotte Buchanan; grandchildren, Crystal Whalen, Michael Helvey Jr. ; and one great grandchild, Tony Lucas Shapiro. She attended Elmarch United Methodist Church and worked at HMH as a dietary aide and nurse's aide for 22 years. Helen was a member of Oddville Homemakers, the HMH Auxilary, and Circle. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 7:00 P. M. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P. M. , prior to services. Rev. Terry McDuffey will preside over services, burial will be the following day at 11:00 A. M. , Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Elizaville Cemetery, 121-35, KY-170, Ewing, KY 41039.
