Helen Green Obituary

Helen Marie Green, age 80 of Columbia, MS passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church, and worked as a supervisor with Rutter-Rex and retired after 50 plus years of employment. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, William Bryant and Clara Mae Randall Bryant; sisters, Judith Warden, and Emogene Bond; and brother, Billy Bryant. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, James "Punk" Green of Columbia; daughters, Donna Dement of Sumrall, MS, and Debra Green of Columbia; sons, Lindon Green (Ann) of Petal, MS, and Ronald Green of Columbia; sisters, Janet Folkes (Sonny) of Seminary, MS, and Lucy Hartfield of Diamondhead, MS; and her seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren (one on the way). Family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Brother Dale Broom will officiate and burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery assisted by Justin Green, Travis Green, Darryl Russell, Kermit Dement, Jr. , Jared Roper, and Kevin McCraney as pallbearers.
