OBITUARY FOR HEINZ GROESSER Heinz Dieter Groesser, 67 passed away April 18, 2023 In Blackfoot Idaho. He was born in 1955 in Reutlingen, Germany to Jakob and Ingeborg Groesser. In 1956, Heinz, his parents and two older sisters immigrated to the United States of America. He lived in the New Sweden/Idaho Falls area before the family moved to Lewisville, Idaho where he attended school. At 17 years of age, Heinz joined the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Lewisville before moving to Evanston, Wyoming where he met Teri Hiner. They married and lived there a few years until Teri was killed in a tragic car accident. He moved back to Idaho and eventually ended up moving to Blackfoot. He was a tile setter, a job he loved to do and continued to do until it got to be too much for his back and he retired. He enjoyed gardening, watching WWE wrestling, and his pets. He was preceded in death by his wife Teri, his parents Jakob and Inge,and his sister Monica Morgan. He is survived by his siblings Ann (Larry) Schurtz of Pahrump, Nevada; Rita (Roy) Guzman of Edinberg, Texas; Esta (Pete Brock) Bourgoin of Meridian, Idaho; Bill Groesser of Rigby, Idaho; Lorie (the late Mark) Stoneberg of Idaho Falls; John Groesser of Pingree, Idaho and Heidi (Joe) Calderella of Greybull, Wyoming; as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial services, including military rites will be held August 18, 2023 at 1:00 at the Veterans cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
