HEIDELORE VAHLE Heidelore Vahle, 78, Hallsville, MO passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born April 12, 1945, in Germany and on April 12, 1987, she was united in marriage to Aldo Vahle who preceded her in death. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Richard Gobel, Jr. and his wife Chris of Hallsville, MO; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, two daughters Mary Nichols and Barbara Barton preceded her in death. Heidelore worked as a cook for Shelter Insurance in Columbia, MO for many years. She enjoyed cooking and traveling to Germany. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. RANDY PAULEY Randy Pauley, age 67, passed away quietly on November 9 in his home from Chronic Kidney Disease. He was a 1974 graduate of Centralia High School having continued on from there to Hawkeye Institute for Photography in Waterloo, IA. Randy worked for 25 years with 3M Company in Columbia, Missouri having left to fulfill a lifelong dream, with his wife of having his own photography studio, Mirror Images Photography in Centralia, Missouri. After 15 years in the retail business, Randy rejoined the workforce and was a forklift operator for Hubbell Power Systems, while he and his wife raised three grandkids for the next 9 years. Randy retired from Hubbell after ten years of service. Randy is best known for his passion for fishing, camping, his love of photography and shooting cannons at Living History Reenactments. As a boy scout, Randy got the itch for photography by making his first camera from a coffee can. His father built him a dark room in their home garage and his eye for still life grew from there. He went on to freelance for the local newspaper at the time, the Centralia Guard and was the staff photographer for the yearbook during Jr. High and High School. Later, while working at 3M, he partnered with a co-worker and they had a small photography studio in Columbia, Reflections Photography, where Randy was the wedding photographer. Later he and his wife owned the studio in Centralia. Randy was a very accomplished photographer, winning many awards for his work and creativity, plus earning Director positions on two state photography organizations. Randy is survived by his wife, Sheila of 36 years, two daughters from a previous marriage, Kristin Wilson (and Bobby) of Fulton, Missouri, Nicole King (and Mark) of Mexico, Missouri, a stepson, Reece Strawn of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and son, Roman Pauley (and Kari Malwitz) of Columbia, Missouri. Randy is also survived by his mother, Patricia Pauley and a brother, Rodney Pauley. Randy had nine grandchildren - Caleb King, Mackenzie Wilson, Robbie Wilson, Austyn Culwell, Hunter Strawn, Fisher Strawn, Trapper Strawn, Debin Lewis and Elora Danon Malwitz. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, plus nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Molly Pauley and father, William N. Pauley. No services will be performed as Randy preferred to be cremated with a "Living Memorial" performed prior to his death. GERALD BRENT "JERRY" MAYES Gerald Brent "Jerry" Mayes, 83, lifelong resident of Centralia MO passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Pin Oaks Living Center in Mexico MO, surrounded by his family. He was born November 24, 1939, in Centralia MO to the late F. Brent Mayes and Edith (Leach) Mayes. He was a proud High School Graduate of Centralia High School Class of 1957. He married his High School sweetheart J. Areta England on December 26, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife J. Areta Mayes; son Jeff Mayes and husband David Warshany of Kansas City MO; daughter Julee Baugh and husband Scott of Somerville TN; sister Cheryl Tuggle and husband Bill of Centralia MO, and their children Jeremy Tuggle and wife Shauna of Centralia MO and their 3 sons AJ, Issac and Ian and daughter Katy Petty husband Rich of Centralia MO and her sons Callahan and Corrigan Hestir; a brother in-law Randy England and wife Tori of Centralia MO and daughters Kayla Maid husband Scott of Harrisonville MO their daughter Everly, Macey Waterman husband Jason of Centralia MO their children Roryck and Rennyck, Markie Lampkin husband Wil of Union MO and their children Monroe, Otto and Tennyson; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two cousins who he considered to be a big brother John Douglass of Centralia MO and a big sister Beverly Wright Bond of Wilmington NC. Jerry was a Foreman for A. B. Chance Plastics Plant, retired Centralia Rural Mail Carrier, 30 year breeder of America Quarter Horses, and a Car Salesman for Forest Chevrolet-Oldsmobile He loved going to the Centralia Panthers Football team games, taking care of his horses, attending horse shows and spending time with his family and friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Centralia City Cemetery with Jed Angell officiating. GAYLE MARIE BILLINGS Gayle Marie Billings of Centralia, MO passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO, she was 72 years old. Gayle was born December 29, 1950, in Mexico, MO the daughter of the late Glenn & Gladys (Braham) McCarty. She was united in marriage to Timothy James Billings on August 15, 1970, in Centralia, MO. In addition to her husband Tim of 53 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Brent (Jodi) Billings of Clinton, MO; one daughter Jodi (Mark) Richardson of Ashland, MO; one sister Glenda (George) Rose of Mexico, MO and one sister-in-law Theresa Allen of Centralia, MO; three grandchildren, Hunter Richardson, Jordon Billings, and Jackson Billings; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a niece. She first worked for Shelter Insurance in Columbia, Mo and later she retired from Heritage Hall Nursing Home, where she was a medical records clerk. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and served as secretary for the Centralia Chamber of Commerce. She loved spending time talking with friends and family, reading and sewing. She was born October 6, 1958, in Fayette, MO the daughter of the late Elbert Sims, Sr. and Peggy Sue Sims. She was united in marriage to Ronald Nelson who survives at the home. In addition to her husband Ronald, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five daughters Kascey Nelson of Butler, MO, Ronda Nelson of Kansas City, MO, Amanda Johnson of Adrian, MO, Shiela Doll of Butler, MO and Crystal Barnard of Butler, MO; three brothers Randy Sims of Centralia, MO, Elbert Sims of Boonville, MO and Jimbo Green of Hallsville, MO; two sisters Jenny Gallipeau of Kansas City, KS and Nancy Wells of Springfield, MO; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, two brothers Kelly Sims and Leonard Sims and two grandchildren Landen Ivy and Bentley Stroud preceded her in death. Debbie worked as a CNA for Medicalodge for several years. She enjoyed Christmas movies, hallmark movies, music, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Coley Glenn Webb, 87, passed away on July 25, 2023, while living in Centralia, Missouri. Coley was born on July 22, 1936, to Charles and Margaret Webb (Gay) in Haycota, Alabama. Coley was married to Louise Webb (Smith) from 1976 until her passing in 2008. Coley graduated from Crestview High School in 1954 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp later that year. While on active duty, Coley was stationed at MCRD Parris Island, North Carolina and Camp Pendleton, California. During his time on active duty, Coley served on staff at the US Embassy, in Bagdad, Iraq. Upon leaving active duty, Coley moved to Denver Colorado where he worked as a salesman/store clerk at several local department stores. He worked in the maintenance department of the Coors Porcelain Company until 1974 when he began his service with the United States Postal Service. He worked at the Bulk Mail Center in Denver until retiring from the USPS in 1998. In 2016, Coley moved to Columbia, Missouri to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law. Coley enjoyed many hobbies and loved working with his hands, crafting mainly wood and leather items. An avid reader, he was extremely interested in history and poetry. Coley was passionate about the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a faithful member of the Masonic Lodge of Denver. Coley's faith was very important to him, and was a member of Calvary Heritage Baptist Church in Columbia, Missouri. Coley is survived by his son Colin Smialek and wife Barbara of Columbia, MO and sister Martha (Jerry) Jenkins of Crestview, FL.
