Lanesville, IndianaHazel E. Riley, 93, entered eternal life, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, IN. She was born February 15, 1930, in New Albany, IN the daughter of George and Myrtle Ham Wiseman. She once served as the Deputy Clerk for the Floyd County Treasurer and Recorder, was Franklin Township Trustee in Floyd County, was a volunteer at the Floyd Memorial Hospital gift shop and was a member of the Hospital auxiliary. Hazel was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lanesville and had a close group that remained friends for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Riley, a son, Michael Riley, grandson, David Riley, Jr. , 1 brother and 3 sisters. She is survived by one son David Riley (Nancy) of Georgetown, IN: grandchildren, Melissa Bartlett (Brad), Benjamin James Riley (Amber), Angela Swan (Larry), and Sarah Winstead (Kevin), 2 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great, Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews that she loved as much as her own children. Hazel's Life will be celebrated with a service at 11:00 AM Monday, September 11, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, Indiana. Chaplain Dale Huff will be the officiant. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lanesville, IN. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 10, 2023, and again on Monday from 9 AM until the service at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home in Georgetown. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to give special thanks for Hazel's wonderful care to the Villas of Guerin Woods and to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.

Helen K. Riggle (Aunt Katie), 88 passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born August 7, 1935, the daughter of Elwood Click and Hope Fredrick Click. Helen was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of New Albany and worked and retired from LG & E after many years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Tom Riggle, 5 brothers: Hobart, Wayne, Bruce, Pete and Russ Click, and one sister, Mable Click. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who cared for her, Mary Jane (Brian) Jueckstock of Louisville, Kentucky and Emily (Matt) Wolboldt of Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as one sister, Bonnie Jean Gilstrap of Salem, Indiana. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home (7420 Hwy 64, Georgetown, Indiana 47122). Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. The burial will take place in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force and was retired from Xerox. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Barbara Jo Sprigler. Butch is survived by his wife, Linda Sprigler; children, Mike (Melissa) Sprigler and Michelle (Mike) Burkhead; stepchildren, Mark Bryson and Stacy (Roy) Wilkowski; a sister, Sherry (John) Geary; a brother, Richard (Karen) Sprigler; grandchildren, Joshua Wilkowski, Audrie Bryson, Adrien Bryson, Claudia Sprigler, Raegan Sprigler, Josephine Sprigler and Rylee Sprigler; and three great grandchildren. Madison "Maddie" was born in Huntingburg, IN on March 21,1997 to her parents Jennifer and Christopher. Maddie graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 2015 and Empire Beauty School in 2019. Madison was not only known for her beautiful red hair, but her compassion for other people. She loved her family and friends beyond measure. She adored her big brother Ethan and little sister Jaycie. She was a talented artist, loved nature walks, and animals. However, her most favorite thing was shopping and spending time with her Mom who she always said was her best friend. Madison is survived by her Mother Jennifer Knapp; Stepfather, Jason Knapp; sister, Jaycie Knapp; Brother Ethan Gowen and his wife Paige; Grandparents, David and Caroline Morgan; Great-Grandparents, Bill and Loma Morgan; Also, many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends loved her dearly. Madison was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Gowen; grandparents, Joe and Peggy (Burnett) Gowen; Great-Grandparents, Bob and Dorothy Burnett, and Raymond and Anabelle Gowen. August was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Faith Harvest Youth Group, and Open House Church. August was an employee for Subway in Corydon, Indiana. August was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Sonny Edwards. August was survived by his parents, Carlos T. Staples and Kayci Nicole Sams; a brother, Nathaniel Michael Sams; sister, Aubryannah L. Sams, longtime girlfriend, Magy Garmon; Uncles, Robert Edwards, Jack Yorkovich, and Tyler Grim; grandparents, Keith "Eddie" and Karen Sams; great grandmother, Mary Dean Edwards; great-great-grandmother, Nell Dean; God Parents, Brian and Emma Oberdieck; and numerous aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1505 St. John's Church Rd. NE, Lanesville, Indiana 47136.
