A visitation for Haydee will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 S SEMORAN BLVD, ORLANDO, FL 32807. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Issac Jogues Catholic Church, 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, FL 32829.

Stephen Paul Smail December 24, 1955 - November 22, 2023 Orlando, FL - Stephen Paul Smail, a beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, uncle and accomplished software engineer in the aerospace industry, passed away on November 22, 2023, at the age of 67. Born in Manhattan, NY on December 24, 1955, raised in the US Virgin Islands. Stephen was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with his intelligence, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and profession. Stephen's passion for learning and pursuit of knowledge led him to acquire a Bachelor's Degree from the University of the Virgin Islands before embarking on a successful career as a software engineer. Known for his technical expertise and innovative thinking, Stephen made significant contributions to the satellite communications and aerospace industry throughout his professional life, leaving behind a remarkable legacy. Beyond his professional achievements, Stephen will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Iris Smail, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. Together, they built a strong and enduring bond of love, trust, and companionship that will forever be cherished. Stephen's memory will also be carried on by his children, Shamayra, Shirah, Daniel and Yamilex, who were the pride and joy of his life. His influence touched their lives deeply, and his love will continue to guide them on their individual journeys. Additionally, Stephen is survived by his siblings Cathleen Clarke, Gary Smail, Jan Smail, Tracy Smail and Bruce Smail. His sisters-in-law, Houng Smail, Lydia Cuencas, Bedzaida Osorio and brothers-in-law Eddie Justiniano, Esteban Osorio, Marcial Osorio, Roberto Osorio, Miguel Osorio also mourn his loss, as do his aunt Candida Larsen and aunt Julia Larsen. The legacy of Stephen Paul Smail will be forever treasured by his cherished grandson, Miykha’el Osorio, and granddaughter, Oksana Osorio, whom he adored with all his heart. Funeral services and ceremonies to honor Stephen's life will be held on December 2, 2023. The funeral service, attended by family and friends, will commence at 11am at the same location. Finally, the graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, as Stephen is laid to rest. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Stephen Paul Smail, a remarkable individual who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. "In loving memory of Thomas Joy Stephens who passed away November 26, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. He was preceded in death by Joan M. Stephens (2008), his beloved wife of 53 years. He is survived by his four loving daughters, Pam (Tim) Winings, Janyce Stephens, Caryn (Roy) Williams and Kim (Mike) Olson. Loving grandfather of Colleen (Will) Chamberlain, Jenny Winings, Stacey Winings, Matt (Kelsey) Olson, Cody Olson, Devon Alsept and Josh Darden (deceased). Great grandfather of Maddex Olson, who put an extra special sparkle in his eyes. Preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Lester Stephens, and his three brothers, Lee, Robert (Jane) and Jack (Mary Jo). He was also uncle to multiple nieces and nephews. Tom was a 1952 graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati, OH. He then enlisted in the Army and, after serving his country, pursued a career at Delta Air Lines where he retired as a supervisor with 33 years of service. Tom was heavily involved with his Sacred Heart Traditional Catholic Church family. His favorite times were spent with family and playing Keno in Las Vegas with his loving wife. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart Traditional Catholic Church, 1018 36th Street, Orlando, FL 32805. Visitation is at 11:00 a. m. followed by mass at 12:00 p. m. , with burial immediately following at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL 32703. Arrangements are being handled by A Community Funeral Home and Sunset Cremations, 910 W. Michigan Street, Orlando, FL 32805.
