Harold Lee Wyman (Pete), age 90, of Fairfield, PA, died on Monday, Sept 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family Born March 3, 1933, in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Harold V and Dorothy K (Rochette) Wyman He was the beloved husband of Charlen L (Henne) Wyman, his wife of 67 years Harold was a veteran, serving with the United States Army He graduated from Classical High School in Worcester, MA, and earned an Associate's Degree in Engineering from Worcester College He pursued graduate level courses at Worcester Polytechnic Institution He was employed by BDM Federal, Inc; ORI, Inc; Litton Systems; Watkins Johnson and Raytheon These companies were contracted by NASA, the Navy, Marines and Army He had an extensive systems engineering background in electronic signal and intelligence processing, radar integration and testing, and science payload accommodations for NASA Space Shuttles and satellites He also helped design equipment for Naval and Marine aircraft and Naval ships Harold conducted training courses at Subic Naval Base, Philippines Earning a commercial pilot license, he was part of KSW Aviation and was a proud member of AOPA "Pete" enjoyed restoring and maintaining 1930's antique cars and classic cars His favorite hobbies included working in his yard and showing his prize cars at car shows Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughters: Linda Wyman-Collins and husband, Raymond Dattoli of Fate, TX, Pamela Ruocco and husband, Joseph of Hackettstown, NJ, Angela Luskey and husband, Thomas Jr of Silver Spring, MD, and Barbara DeBoy and husband, Thomas of Urbana, MD; 11 grandchildren, Gregory, Neil, Brianna, Ryan, Carmine, Amanda, Michael, Eric, Katherine, Sandra, and Morgan; 5 great-grandchildren, Erica, Gabriel, Eligh, Grayson, and Haden; brother-in law, Charles W Henne II of Montgomery, OH, and niece, Sherre Henne Stieber of Columbia, SC He was predeceased by his parents; sons, Erwin M and Theodore L "Teddy" Wyman; daughter, Diana L Wyman; grandson, James R Luskey; sister, Barbara K Wyman; uncle, Theodore C Wyman; and nephew Charles W Henne III Services were private at the family's request Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Homes Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD Online condolences can be expressed to the family at www myersdurborawfh com In lieu of flowers, donations, in his honor, can be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association

William R. Shafer, age 86 of Taneytown, MD, passed away December 4, 2023 at Carroll County Hospital. He was born June 27, 1937 in Bendersville to the late William H. , Jr. and Marion G. (McCauslin) Shafer. He was widowed by his longtime companion, Ella Mae Itnyre in 2014. William retired from York Shipley before becoming the building supervisor for North Carroll High School and a member of the Westminster Moose and Littlestown Eagles. He was also a life member of the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservations. He is survived by his son, William R. Shafer, Jr. and wife, Kathy of York-New Salem, PA, daughter, Brenda Riley and husband, Lindsey of Gettysburg, PA, step-sons, George Itnyre and wife, Tracey of Pleasant Hill, MO and Tom Niner and wife, Jennie of McSherrystown, PA, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brother, Fred Shafer. William was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Shafer, Harold Shafer and Robert Shafer and sisters, Shirley Baker, Lorraine Shafer and Joleen Auchey. Minnie Lee Ellen Chase (nee Dutton) lovingly called "Minnie Mouse" by her family died on November 21, 2023 at the age of 93. Born December 11, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Sarah Clark Dutton-Hughes and Otho S. Dutton, Sr. In 1947, Minnie received her high school diploma from Benjamin Banneker High School in Catonsville, Maryland. On November 26, 1947 Minnie and Eugene "Happy" Chase were joined in Holy Matrimony. She worked several jobs in Westminster, Maryland however, her last job was as a factory worker at Gould where she worked and retired from after 20 years. Minnie volunteered her time to give back to her community and served as a member of the Women's Auxiliary for the VFW of Westminster, Maryland; an organization that assisted veterans and their families. She also served as Treasurer of the Union Street United Methodist Church. In her spare time, you would also find Minnie in the local grocery store serving as a Taste Tester handing out samples. Minnie loved the Lord and her church family and was a long-time member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, Reisterstown, Maryland. Minnie is survived by Eugene T. , Jr. , Stanley, and Wendy Chase; her grandchildren Chaunda Stewart, Carrie Kelley, Brandon and Shaylyn Chase, and Charles Dorm; great-grandchildren Eirrac Kelley, Jzhy Thomas, and Kiara Stewart; Great-great grandchildren Skylar Clauser Chase and Sklyar Thomas; as well as numerous family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Chase, daughter Minnette Nokes (nee Chase), and brother Otho Dutton. Charlotte A. (Theobald) Powell, age 84, of Taneytown, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family. Born August 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gustav Sr. and Marguerite (Steese) Theobald. Charlotte had a loving heart and was always helping anyone in need. She was "Grandmom" to everyone who knew her. She was active at Keymar Evangelical Wesley Church where she taught Sunday school, was a Wednesday night Clubhouse Teacher and helped with VBS. More recently she became a member of Clearfield Bible Church in Westminster. Charlotte worked for the Carroll County Department of Human Services as an aide in various departments. She was also a shop steward for the State of Maryland AFSCME Chapter 1. She retired after 35 years of service. She loved dogs and cats. Charlotte and her best friend Louise traveled to Kentucky for many years to deliver Christmas Gifts and Supplies to those in need. Surviving are children, William C. Powell and wife Kristina of Lincolnton, NC, Kimberly D. Warehime of Finksburg, and George J. Powell and wife Donna of Taneytown; grandchildren, Taylor Powell, Gregory Powell and wife Brandi, Sara Shumate and husband Andy, Randy Warehime, Jr. and fiance Kylie Newburn, Matthew Warehime and girlfriend Jada Burnham, Joshua Brooks, Sarah Brooks and Daniel Robertson; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and her family; and special extended family Michelle, Michael and Dylan Hayes. She was predeceased by her parents; Infant daughter Dora L. Powell; son Bryan C. Mary Catherine Haggerty (Gonda) died in her sleep on Nov. 14, 2023, after several months in hospice care. The long-term Youngstown, Ohio resident, a nurse, nursing home administrator, wife, mother, and World War II veteran, was living at the Leland of Laurel Run, an assisted living facility in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Mary Catherine Gonda was born to John and Elizabeth Gonda in Youngstown on May 9, 1924. She was the fifth daughter of 10 girls: Thelma Corcoran, Ethel Jones, Bertha Macko, Theresa Vukovich, Betty Terpak, Anna Mae (Butch) Thompson, Catherine (Kay) Strok, Magdalene (Madge) Kincaid, and Patricia (Patsy) Antrim. All 10 daughters attended the elementary school at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio. In 1943, after graduating from East High School, Mary worked as a secretary for the Signal Corps at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. Shortly after that, she became a U. S. Army nurse cadet. After the war ended, she completed her nurse training at Youngstown Hospital Association, and she immediately started working there. After the end of the war, Mary married her high school sweetheart, William T. Haggerty, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They had six children. Mary worked as a nurse at Windsor House nursing homes and eventually worked her way up to become the nursing home administrator at the Windsor House at Omni Manor. Mary was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. In 2010, Mary moved to Westminster, Maryland to live closer to her children and joined St. John Roman Catholic Church. In 2021, she moved to Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Mary is preceded by her husband William Thomas Haggerty and eldest son, William Gregory Haggerty. She is also preceded by her sisters Thelma Corcoran, Ethel Jones, Bertha Macko, Theresa Vukovich, Betty Terpak, Anna Mae Thompson, and Magdalene Kincaid, Mary is survived by five children, Lynne Bailey, (Warden), Patricia Jones, (Larry), Christopher Haggerty, (Kimberly), Martin Haggerty, and Michael Haggerty-Villa, (Ricardo), nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a. m. , Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the St. John Roman Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster (21157) where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a. m. for a memorial gathering in the Portico. Interment will follow at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio. Jamie Lynn Stewart, age 38, passed away, Friday November 17, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center from complications of Lupus. Born June 5, 1985, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Hobbs and Barbara Jane Stewart. She was the loving companion and special friend of Edward Daniel "Dan" Glass for 20+ years. Jamie was a 2003 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. She was known for her bubbly personality and kindness. Her son Noah was her world. Besides her son Noah Michael Curtis Kozak, she is survived by her sisters, Jackie Pickett and husband Joseph, Angela Sell and husband Duane and Jessica Hopson all of Taneytown; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Pickett, Katherine, Tristian, and Emily Sell, Luis and Michael Diaz and Casey and Stephen Carrigo and stepmother June Tarmon Willams-Hopson of Louisa VA. Sheila Dawn Robertson (nee Reifsnider) of Keymar, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on November 17, 2023. Sheila was born on July 30, 1962, to parents Glenn and Georgette Reifsnider. She was the wife of Tom Robertson, Jr, with whom she celebrated her 40th anniversary this year. She graduated from F. S. K. High School class of 1980. She then attended Hagerstown Business College, graduating from there in 1981 with a Certificate in Business. Right after graduation, she started working as an Administrative Assistant at The Taney Corporation, a position she held until 2020. She was also very active in the Taneytown Elementary School PTO from 1990 until 2009 and was a substitute teacher there from 1991 to 1993. Sheila was a lifelong member of Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, working in the church's Sunday School from 1986 to 2000 and serving as the Church Secretary from 2000 to 2005. Sheila's main joy was her family, she was at her happiest planning and hosting family get-togethers at her home. Chincoteague was her favorite home away from home and a week-long family vacation there was a must at least once each year. She loved to travel, and we went on many family road trips which took her to 42 of the 50 states. As a faithful Baltimore Orioles fan since the 1980's, Sheila greatly enjoyed the team's success this year. Sheila is survived by her mother, husband, daughter Rhiannon Day and Robbie, daughter Heidi Garrett and Chad, and son Brennan Robertson; grandchildren Aliceson, Caden and Landen Day, and Ford and Colton Garrett; brother Wayne Reifsnider and life partner Cathy Gesell; sisters-in-law Kathleen Robertson and Susan Robertson. She was predeceased by her father and brother Douglas Reifsnider. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Grace United Church of Christ, 49 W. Sheena Marie Holsey Glasco, a resident of Taneytown, Maryland, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, after battling a long illness. She was born on January 18, 1983, to the late Phillip Eugene Holsey and Vera Lynn Brooks in Westminster, Maryland. Sheena was educated in Carroll County Public Schools and graduated from Liberty High School. Later in life she attended a local culinary school in order to broaden her knowledge of catering and food preparation. Sheena was the proud mother of Imahnee, Kordell, Kendall and Isaiah. Unfortunately, her heart was broken when her youngest son Isaiah passed away at 3 months of age in 2004. Despite her grief, Sheena displayed unwavering resilience. With the help of her devoted mother Vera, she successfully navigated the challenges of single parenthood. Her children were her delight and greatest achievement. Sheena enjoyed listening to R&B music, bowling, playing board games, visiting local casinos, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Stargazing in the middle of the night with her children was a delightful experience for all. She also enjoyed cooking. Putting the skills learned in culinary school, she and her daughter Imahnee worked together in their own catering business until illness made it impossible to continue in this endeavor. Sheena is survived by her three children: Imahnee McCloud, Kordell Glasco and Kendall Glasco; mother Vera Brooks; maternal grandmother Florence H. Williams; godparents Aunt Mary, Riggins Mike Magruder, Velma Green; uncles Ronald Brooks (Kathie), Austin Howard and Anthony Williams (Dionne), Gordon Brown (Nora), Kenneth Brown (Maria) and Mehrl Brown (Patricia); aunts Evelyn Williams, Anna Green (Marshall), Victoria Holsey, Marjorie Brown and Sabrina Brown and a hosts of cousins and other relatives. In addition to her father Phillip and her son Isaiah, Sheena was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Richard H. Williams; godfather Marshall Green Sr. ; paternal grandmother Betty Jane Brown; uncles Leroy Brooks and Roger Brown, Jr. (Jeanne); aunts Sharon Thomas and Phyllis Jean Price and her beloved cousins Shondre' Brown and Dutchess Riggins.
