Harry Edward Conrey, Sr, 69, Walnut Ridge, died Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his residence. Harry lived in Walnut Ridge his entire life. He was born on April 14, 1954 to William Edward and Helen Lucille Kellough Conrey. Harry was a farmer. Harry was a veteran. He was a friend to all. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents; his brothers, Gilbert Conrey, Ricky Conrey, and Sammy Johnston; his sister: Shelia Kay Nettles; his nephew, Steve Conrey; and his niece, Kimberly Nettles. Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Mary Jane Conrey; his son, Harry Conrey, Jr; his caregiver, Jane Brunson; his sisters, Annette Mandell, Mary Ann Boothe, and Janice King; his brothers: Lehman Conrey and William Faulkner; his five beloved grandchildren, Dylan Priest, CPL Kaleb Conrey Taylor, Jacob Conrey, Emma Conrey, and Hayley Dunlap; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the chapel of House-Gregg Funeral Home from 6 to 7 pm. The Celebration of Harry's life will begin at 7pm. Shelby Jeanne (Mock) Wayland, 82 of Walnut Ridge, died Sunday November 26, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1940 in Pocahontas, AR to Newell Abbott Mock, Sr. and Jeanne Frances (Shelby) Mock. Shelby had a college degree in English and French from ASU. She was a member of DAR & Beta Sigma Phi. Her pursuit was to be a homemaker. She married Doug Wayland on June 1, 1961 and they shared 62 years of marriage. During that time, she enjoyed her family, loved working in the yard, and loved to study genealogy. Shelby was a devout member of First United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Wayland; parents, Newell & Jeanne Mock; brother, Newell A. Mock, Jr. ; and her dog, Cindy Shelby Lou. Shelby is survived by her husband, Doug Wayland; daughter, Stacy (Ricky) Rice; grandson, Nick (Madison) Rice; granddaughters, Chloe Rice, Ashlyn (Coty) Griffin; and Kortney Wayland; great-grandchildren, Chandler Olivia Rice, Keith Greyson Griffin, and Zayn Harper; brother, Thomas (Yvonne) Mock; and many other families & friends. Waymond Lynn Hutton, 80, of Walnut Ridge, AR passed on to his Heavenly Father on November 16, 2023. He was born in Hoxie, AR on July 20, 1943, in Hoxie, AR to Perry C. and Ruth (Johnson) Hutton. Waymond dedicated his life to public service and was honored to serve as Sheriff for Lawrence County from 1991 until his retirement in 2004. His most memorable moment was the time he won first place for both speed and accuracy in a pistol shooting competition at the Arkansas Tactical Officer Survival School in Benton where he competed against officers from across the state. He said the other contestants were amazed that an older person like him, with a . 357 revolver, could outshoot all those young officers with their high-tech automatic weapons. As proud as he was of his shooting abilities, he was most proud that all his armed confrontations as sheriff ended peacefully. Waymond was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Ruth Hutton, Sisters: Alice Hutton, Ruth Martin and Mary Bookout. Brothers: James Hutton and Jerry Hutton. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 60 years, Jacqueline (Slatton) Hutton of the home. JeanAnn (Roy Paul) Davidson of Walnut Ridge, Toby (Max) Romero of Albuquerque, NM, Lisa (Matt) Kelley of Wynne and Wayne (Karen) Hutton of Pocahontas. Brothers: Perry Hutton and Levi (Louellen) Hutton, Sisters: Doris Ripley, Sharon (Reggie) Freeman, Shirley (Robert) Tribble, Elizabeth (Keith) Nichols, Rachel Hutton. Six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Waymond was blessed with girls in his descendants and enjoyed an especially close relationship with his oldest granddaughter, Jacqueline Holland and his oldest great-granddaughter, Abbi Miller. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Heath Davis, Landon Holland, T. J. Marlin, Tracy Moore, Jeff Phillips and Delbert Robbins. Honorary pallbearers are: Adam Holland, Richard Johnson, Curtis Meeks, Cloyce Richey, Junior Waldrup and Alan Wilfond. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. "Annie Arlene Lawson, 86, of Walnut Ridge, died October 31, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born December 27, 1936, in Sedgwick; daughter of the late Rev. Henry and Margie Morris Lakey. She was united in marriage to Richard Lawson in 1985. She worked in a factory and was a loving wife and homemaker. She loved gardening and picking Okra; she was known to some as the Vegetable Lady of Lawrence County. She was an active member of the Oak Hill General Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard in 2016; her loving daughter, Rhonda Sue Trigg; one granddaughter, Brandy Trigg; two brothers, Ernest (Man) and Cecil Lakey; and a sister, Louetta Achor; and many other relatives and friends. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Marlene Hon of Walnut Ridge, Carrie Gutshall (Chuck) of Walnut Ridge, and Cynthia Shalene Pope (Kerry) of Bono; one son, Brian Hon (Tara Stafford) of Walnut Ridge; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Dixie Rice (Jr) of Powhatan, and Sue Taylor of Paragould; and many other relatives and friends.
