Mrs. Judith "Judy" Christine Arnold Kemp age 76, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on March 25, 1947 in Orlando, Florida. She was the loving daughter of the late Ed Arnold and Esther Helen Barrow Arnold Parker. She spent her early life in Florida and then the family moved to Madison and she graduated in 1965 from Madison Consolidated High School. She later attended Sullivan University and received her associate degree. On November 6, 1965, Judy was united in marriage to Paul Ray Kemp in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union of 58 years was blessed with a daughter, Stephanie Leigh, and sons, Christopher Paul and Nicholas Todd. She worked for two years with Grote Industries in Madison and then 35 years with the U. S. Shoe Corporation. She served as office manager for Madison Gymnastics World in Madison for 35 years. Judy was a judge for 35 years with the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges for the State of Indiana. She currently was the nations longest standing judge. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison and attended the New Providence Baptist Church as well. She had served as an international judge and national judge. She was also a member of the USA Gymnastics Professional Association. Judy enjoyed gardening, canning, being with her children, grandchildren and judging gymnastics. Judy died on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2:25 p. m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Judy will be missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Paul Ray Kemp of Madison, Indiana; her daughter, Stephanie Leigh Kemp Binzer and her husband, Chip of Scottsburg, Indiana; her sons, Christopher Paul Kemp and his companion, Louise Harpole of Brooksburg, Indiana, Nicholas Todd Kemp of West Palm Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Aiden Parker Kemp Binzer, Maya Elizabeth Kemp, Zachary Paul Kemp; her step grandsons, Matthew Robert Binzer and his wife, Bailee, and Jacob Robert Binzer; her step brother, Dr. Gary Parker of Florida; her brothers in law and sisters in laws, Thomas Edwin Kemp and his wife, Carolyn of Lexington, Indiana, Marcia Eliane Kemp Cranfield Brandenburg of Crestview Hills, Kentucky, Linda Kemp of Monticello, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Arnold, her mother, Esther Helen Barrow Arnold Parker, died June 24, 2006, her step father, Dr. Harold Eugene Parker, died March 26, 1977, and her step brother, Michael Parker. Mrs. Rose Anne Giltner Gaylord Kidwell, age 71, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on January 14, 1952 in Madison, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Dallas Edward and Mary Lena Jump Giltner. She spent her early life in Madison and then later in Valparaiso where she graduated high school. On January 21, 1972 she was united in marriage to Kenneth F. Gaylord in Hanover, Indiana. This union was blessed with a son, Charles Edward and a daughter, Angela. She worked early in life for the U. S. Shoe Corporation, the Main Grill, Meese Orbitron Dunn and the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion. She enjoyed sewing, baking, quilting, watching Old Westerns and LifeTime movies, and reading. She was last married to Hurley A. Kidwell and he died March 24, 2013. Rose was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion Auxiliary. Rose died on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 11:00 p. m. at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Rose will be missed by her loving daughter, Angela "Angie" Williams and her husband, Kevin of Madison, Indiana; her loving son, Charles Edward Gaylord of Madison, Indiana; her step son, Douglas Kidwell of Kentucky; her step daughters, Tina Tandy and her husband, Kevin of Kentucky, Leanna Jo Liter of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Charles Derek Joseph Gaylord, Chip Andrew Gaylord, Anthony "Tony" Gaylord (Kelsey), Kyle Daniel Humphrey, Brianna Guzman (Sergio, Jr. ), Brayton Chase Humphrey, James Hardy Risener Overton; her great grandson, Ezekiel Jordan Guzman; her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; her brother, Dallas Giltner of Nabb, Indiana; her sisters, Carol Horton and her husband, Bob of New Washington, Indiana, Patty Schwomeyer and her husband, Mark of Arlington, Indiana, Bonnie Touchstone and her husband, Jeff of Lakeville, Minnesota; her half brothers, Dallas Vern Giltner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Roger Giltner and his wife, Cheryl of St. Matthews, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Edward Giltner, died March 7, 1964, her mother, Mary Lena Jump Giltner, died July 14, 1996, her late husband, Hurley Kidwell, died March 24, 2013, her sisters, Iva Penny Giltner Griffin, died September 1, 2018, Linda Kay Giltner Crenshaw, died August 18, 2018, and Terry Lee Giltner, and her half brother, Eddie Wayne Giltner. Mr. Donald Lee Sargent, age 74, of Milton, Kentucky, entered this life on July 20, 1949 on King's Ridge in Trimble County, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late Charles Tillman and Margaret I. Schmidt Sargent. He was raised in Trimble County residing there all of his life. He graduated high school from Trimble County High School. He was inducted into the United States Army on October 27, 1970 in Louisville, Kentucky. He rose to the rate of Specialist Four serving in Battery A. 2nd Battalion 138th Field Artillery during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged on May 11, 1971 at Fort Benning, Georgia and transferred to the Reserves and was discharged on May 4, 1976 receiving the Kentucky State Active Duty Ribbon with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal. On January 18, 1969, Donald was united in marriage to Barbara Carol Wright at the Milton Baptist Church in Milton, Kentucky. This happy union of 50 years was blessed with a son, Brandon Lee. He was a faithful member of the Mt. Tabor Wesleyan Holiness Church in Trimble County, Kentucky. Donald was a collector of things such as clocks, GM cars, Corvettes and loved Cadillac's, and truly enjoyed his property. He enjoyed socializing with people and truly never met a stranger. Donald worked for the State of Kentucky as a diesel mechanic for over twenty years. He was also the owner of Persimmon Hill Towing Company for many years. He loved his dog, Gracie Lynn and the companionship over the years. He was bestowed the honor of Kentucky Colonel and was extremely proud of that accomplishment. Donald died on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 12:39 a. m. at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Donald will be missed by his dearest friends and caregivers, Jacklyn and David Fink, along with their children, Taylor, Garrison, and Jack of Milton, Kentucky; his son, Brandon Lee Sargent and his wife, Chris of Seymour, Indiana; his granddaughters, Ashley Sargent and Morgan Sargent; his sister in law, Nancy McClure Sargent of Milton, Kentucky; his brother in law, Norman "Butch" Wright of Milton, Kentucky; his uncle and his aunts, Phil and Betty Wright of Madison, Indiana, Gayle and Margaret Wright of Atlanta, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tillman Sargent, died August 6, 1984, his mother, Margaret I. Schmidt Sargent, died July 3, 1976, his brothers, Charles J. Sargent, died January 4, 2009 and William Eugene Sargent, died September 11, 2023, his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Carol Wright Sargent, died August 7, 2019.
