Haley was first a foremost a child of God, and she set foot on this earth with a mission. It was clear from day one. Ephesians 1:4: HE chose us in Christ (actually selected us for Himself as His own) Before the foundation of the world. At just one hour old, her eyes were wide open and she was scoping out the room and everyone around her. There wasn't anything she put her mind to that she didn't accomplish. From learning to tie her shoes, to helping a friend in need, finding her passion in sports, or making Joey a Service dog, she was determined to get whatever it was she wanted!Haley found her passion in volleyball. When she was on the court, amidst all the whistles and fans yelling, for her the world went quiet. She always knew how to make her teammates laugh even in the midst of a tough practice or rough game. Haley was witty beyond measure and could rattle off a joke (usually at the worst time!) that would have grown-ups rolling in laughter. Haley always had a heart for the underdog. She could always be found offering a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Those who knew her well knew she was a loyal, old soul. She was quick to forgive, the first to say I'm sorry, and fearless to no end. Before her second birthday, she was running head on into the swimming pool, never having set foot in one, just to see what all the fuss was about!More than anything, Haley was beautiful. Not just on the outside, but more importantly on the inside. She touched so many lives. She offered nuggets of laughter, loads of sarcasm, and unconditional love to many. Haley's heart was made of pure gold. Though her time on earth was short, her mission was clear: Love God, have no fear, and be un-apologetically YOU. Her eyes and smile could light up the room (in between sarcastic jokes)! And if she wasn't smiling, it was surely because she was filling her mouth with one of her MANY favorite candies; skittles, twizzlers or air heads to name just a few. Haley is survived by numerous families. Ryndi Hodge, mother and Fiance Michael King; Chad Hodge, Father. Sharon Hamby, Grandmother; Ken and Marcia Hamby; Grandparents. Cliff and Shelia Hodge, Grandparents. Brandt and Maryann Hamby, Ryan and Karey Hamby, Aunts and Uncles. Joey the Service dog. 9 cousins and numerous extended family members. Cherished by all. Haleys precious life will be celebrated on September 17th at 1 pm at Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound, TX. Family requests that guests wear any shade of blue, Haley's favorite color, and are welcome to wear your favorite pair of fun sneakers! Haley loved her tennis shoes; from her Vans, to her Jordans to her rugged old slides!Haley will be celebrated by a balloon release at the end of the celebration as we fill the sky with blue balloons for her precious spirit to see. Isaiah 40:31: For those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faintIn lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Haley's Go-Fund Me Page, that will donate all proceeds to a local nonprofit providing support and guidance for teens. https://gofund. me/f6bdeb1e
