Weslaco, TX - Guadalupe Rivera Lopez, 77, passed away to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Lopez was born February 5, 1945, to Uvaldo & Antonia Rivera, in Weslaco, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Higinio Lopez, Jr. ; 2 brothers, Eubaldo Rivera, Severo Rivera; and 3 sisters, Avelina Rodriguez, Minerva Muniz, and Olga Ybarra. Mrs. Lopez is survived by 2 daughters, Veronica Lopez (Chris), Maria Gonzalez (Andrew), both of Weslaco, TX; 2 sons, Eddieneyo Lopez (Sara), Eduardo Lopez (Belinda+), both of Weslaco, TX; 1 brother, Roberto Rivera (Magdalena), of Round Rock , TX; 5 sisters, Yolanda Galan of Gun Barrel, TX, Rosa Villanueva (Manuel) of Mercedes, TX; Juana Garces (Tomas+), Graciela Juarez (Benito+), and Nora Balderas (Ramiro+), all of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Wednesday, June 22, 2022, with a 6:00 p. m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be 10:00 a. m. , Thursday, June 23, 2022, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sergio Moreno, Jr. , Adrian Lopez, Adam Lopez, Ryan Gonzalez, Sabrina Moreno, and Julian Espinoza.
