Guadalupe R. Granado, 69 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. He was born February 27, 1954, in San Antonio, TX, the son of the late Santiago and Gail (Rangel) Granado. Guadalupe was a lifelong resident of Kenosha, WI and on February 27, 1987, he married Mary Lopez Navarez. Guadalupe enjoyed, fishing, billiards, and socializing with his friends; he played hard, and worked harder throughout his entire life. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary; daughters, Lizibeth Granado and Isabel Granado; the father of his grandchildren, Jacob Williams; three sisters, Janie Garcia, Olivia Granado, and Maria Cook; and grandchildren, Kaylee Williams and Isaiah Harp. On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Lorna Jean "Bucky" Newman (nee Gentz), 84, of Kenosha passed away peacefully in her sleep. The second of seven children, Lorna was the oldest daughter, born in Kenosha to Kenneth and Marie Gentz of Pleasant Prairie on February 25, 1939. Growing up, Lorna attended Pleasant Prairie Grade School for first through eighth grade before moving on to Salem Central High School, graduating in 1957. Lorna was a Drum Majorette and Baton Twirler for the Salem Central marching band as well as playing alto saxophone and glockenspiel for the Zion Benton marching band. While playing with Zion Benton, she had the opportunity to play in the Orange Bowl Parade twice and at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Even after she stopped playing her sax, music continued to be a huge part of her life. She also played catcher for Central girl's fast-pitch baseball team and dreamed of being able to play for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. On October 4, 1958, she married the love of her life, John Robert "Bob" Newman of Kenosha. They were married for nearly 58 years until he passed away in 2016. Lorna worked for Snap-on Tools in Kenosha from 1958 until she retired in February 2002, with the honorary title of "mother of engineering". Lorna enjoyed spending time with her family, going up north to Aunt Betty's cottage, traveling with Bob on his union business, working with the Snap-on Rec Club, and the many Packers trips she took with Bob and then later her daughter, Dawn. During the Packers' off-season, Lorna was also an avid Cubs fan. Whether it was the Packers or the Cubs, she always had the games on TV when she couldn't be there in person. At home, Lorna was master of her kitchen over the holidays, even when Bob stopped deer hunting and questioned her menu choices. She loved rewatching and talking about the movies and celebrities she grew up with in her youth, especially the signed photo she had of Robert Wagner - signed "Bobby Wagner". Lorna was preceded in death by: her parents, Kenny and Marie; her husband, Bob; her oldest brother, Wayne; her younger sisters, Marlene and Marie Alana; her younger brother, Keith; and her grandson-in-law, Wyatt Brooks Martin. Lorna is survived by: her three daughters - Dawn (Rick) Herrmann of Kenosha; Chris (Bill) Johnson, of Kenosha; and Lisa (Troy) Hales of Davis, Ill. ; her six grandchildren - Tim Herrmann of Union Grove; Andy Herrmann of Elkhorn; Emily (Tim) Nieman of Dubuque, Iowa; Spencer (Leonora) Seitz of Kenosha; Caroline Jean (Jake Kerkhoff) Martin of Davis, Ill. ; and David Newman Hales of Davis, Ill. ; her three great-grandchildren - Aiden Guptail; Alaric Seitz; a great-granddaughter on the way; and two brothers - Virgil (Gail) Gentz of Paris, Wisconsin; and Noel (Barbara) Gentz of Pleasant Prairie. Eugene J. Welter, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born in Seneca County, Tiffin, Ohio on November 17, 1942 to Edward J. Welter and Carmene (Prindle) Welter. Preceding him in death besides his mother and father, three sisters Olive, Dorethy and Frances and two brothers Harold and Marion. Gene is survived by his wife Patricia J. (Koerth) Welter, his children Brian J. Welter and JoAnn C. (Welter) Fish and one granddaughter Arilyn Graf. Gene graduated from Saint Meinrad Seminary and was a monk at Saint Benedicts Monastery for a number of years. On April 6, 1974 he married Patricia J. Koerth. During his lifetime he worked at Stone Container, an Emergency Medical Technician and a Home Juice deliveryman for many years. Some of his interests included ping-pong, car racing, working on cars for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Masonic Unity Lodge and the Brotherhood of Free Masons where he was a Grand Master. Private Family Services were held. Kent J. Richards, age 70, of Kenosha, WI passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 5, 2023. Born in 1953 on September 24 to the late Arnold and Anna (Roberts) Richards, he was the second eldest of six siblings. He attended local schools and graduated from Tremper High School. Kent met his true love, Beverly Mathis, through a blind date in 1981 and immediately knew he would make her his wife. They married on April 17th, 1982, at Fellowship Baptist Church, and a couple of years later they had their two daughters: Samantha and Whitney. Kent proved to be a wonderful and dedicated husband and father. He was proud of his girls and created a beautiful life with Beverly. Later in life Kent became a grandfather and was so excited about his family growing bigger. Nothing made Kent happier than a house full of kids laughing, playing, and being silly. Kent was also known to have a good time. Throughout the years, he enjoyed golf and horseshoes with his dad and brothers, bowling in leagues with his buddies from work, playing cards, and going on camping trips with his family. He was famous for his long goodbyes. When it was time to go, Kent would always say, "Thanks for stoppin' by, drive safe, keep smilin', watch your step, and stay out of trouble. " Kent is survived by his wife, Beverly, of 41 years; daughters, Samantha (Jason) Cardona, Whitney (Jason) Haley; grandchildren, Brooke Paar, Caleigh Cardona, Dylan Cardona, Paige Haley, Devin Haley, Miranda Beam; siblings, Arnold Richards Jr, Dale (Marcia) Richards, Brenda (Mike) Usinger; brother-in-laws, Michael (Sherri) Mathis, Douglas (Teri) Mathis; and sister-in-law, Dedra (Wayne) Hanson. He is further survived by his two sons, Steven Richards and Corey (Stacey) Richards and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his brothers, David Richards, Allen Richards; father-in-law, Samuel Glenn Mathis; and mother-in-law, Frankie Sue Mathis. Ronald Ray Hoffmann, 87, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Grand Prairie Health & Rehab. Born on September 2, 1936, in Wausau, WI; he was the son of the late Clarence and Emily (Wettreau) Hoffmann. He served in the United States Army from October 4, 1955, until he was honorably discharged on October 3, 1961. Ronald was employed by AMC Chrysler until his retirement. He is survived by his two sons, Douglas "Doug" Hoffmann, and Jody (Elberta) Hoffmann both of Kenosha, WI; two twin grandchildren, Emily, and Evan Hoffmann; and siblings, Sally Beckendorf, and Bob Hoffmann. Catherine A. Mach, 65, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Brookside Care Center. Born on December 28, 1957, in Seaside, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Richard M. and Merilyn A. (Culver) Mach. She moved to Kenosha, WI in 1959. Catherine graduated from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with her bachelor's in education and went on to earn her master's degree in library science from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was employed by Kenosha Unified School District until her retirement. She had attended St. Matthews Episcopal Church. She was a member of Kenosha Lace Guild, Kenosha Education Association, Philanthropic Education Organization, American Association of University Women, Kappa Kappa Delta, Lakeside Players, Milwaukee Symphony Chorus, and the Yacht Club Cribbage League. She served on the committee and attended the Susan B. Anthony Dinner each year. Catherine is survived by her brother, Richard C. (Michele) Mach of southwest Missouri; her special friends, Ellen Kupfer, Jennifer Willing, and Cindy Sklansky; and other loving family and friends. Private services were held per Catherine's wishes. Kim M. Mahnke, 67, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, November 26, 2023 at her residence. She was born on October 4, 1956 to the late Donald T. Meyer and Martha Umphress in Kenosha. Kim married Billy J. Willard and later divorced. She then married Thomas Mahnke and was widowed shortly after. Kim worked as an in-home health care aide for many years. Kim loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing games on her phone. Kim is survived by her daughters Deanna Pike and Amanda Willard, her grandchildren Christian Willard, Cameron Kruse, Christopher Willard, Mya Frick, Eli Fawcett, Kya Fawcett and one granddaughter on the way Emi Lea Mickelsen, her brother Michael (Linda) Meyer, her nieces Jennifer Foss and Melissa Brown. And great nieces and nephews Madeline, Joshua, Christopher, Andrew, Kayleigh and Michelle. She is also survived by extended family members Colleen Bloomingdale, Jessica Ann Daily, Sarah Nicole Becker and Jamie Degroot She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Ruby Petersdorf, a nephew Gary Meyer, a great niece Christina Brown as well as extended family member Leticia Ocanas. Sally Hayward

Age - 81

Sally JoAnne Tindall Campbell Hayward took her final breath on November 26, 2023 at the age of 81 after a long and full life. Born in Syracuse, NY during WWII, she relocated to central Florida in 1993 residing in Eustis, Orlando, and Zephyrhills. After her parents, Joseph and T. Annette Tindall died in Florida, she moved again to Kenosha, WI in 2008, to be near her brother, Steven Tindall. She is survived by three of her bothers: Richard, Steven, and Timothy Tindall. Her youngest brother Jeffrey died in 2015. Sally was married to David H. Campbell in 1976 until his death from heart failure in 1987. She married James E. Hayward in 1990 and he succumbed to lung cancer in 1999. Sally graduated from West Genesee Central High School in June of 1960. She is eternally grateful for Kay Benedict Sgarlatta for keeping in touch with class news. Kay, a longtime friend, and graduate of the same class has continued to write and mail a monthly newsletter to as much of the class as she has contacts for. Sally was associated with Amboy Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, and First Presbyterian Church in Zephyrhills. As a member she served various positions including Elder, Deacon, Christian Education Chairwoman, Church School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Advisor ad Leader of a Food Pantry. Sally was employed by New York Telephone Company in Syracuse from 1961-1981 in various positions in both Commercial and Engineering Departments. After retirement, she was employed by Maxwell Memorial Library in Camillus, NY. In 1988, she began working for National Church Residences as a Resident Manager for low income, elderly, and handicap housing in two projects in Syracuse and eventually in Eustis, FL. While in Zephyrhills, she also worked at Zephyr Haven Health & Rehab Center. Once established in Kenosha, Sally volunteered for KAFASI (Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services, Inc. ) as an Elementary School Mentor, Contributor to RSVP monthly newsletter, and her pride and joy was helping to create the Senior Center Without Walls Program to reach out to the Kenosha elderly and handicapped community. She also spent a short time as a Benefits Specialist for the ADRC (Kenosha County Aging and Disability Resource Center). Sally was a member of the Solvay-Geddes Kiwanis Club in Syracuse and the Kiwanis Club of Eustis, FL. Since moving to Kenosha, she has become involved in many aspects of Veteran Support, and it has become her passion. To honor Sally's memory, we are holding a Celebration of her Life, please check back soon for dates and times. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and celebrate with her family. Ernest "Ernie" Otto Mattner (98) of Green Valley, AZ, formerly of Kenosha, WI, passed away at his home on November 15th, 2023. He was born on August 28th, 1925 in Tigerton, WI to Adolph and Emilie (nee Martin) Mattner. Growing up, Ernie worked hard on his family's farm - spending hours up in the barn loft to have time to himself. Ernie met Dawn Wachs in Kenosha, WI and they were united in marriage on June 28th, 1952. Dawn and Ernie had many happy years in Green Valley, AZ. They were married for 46 years. Dawn became very ill and Ernie was her caregiver for the last few years of her life. Ernie was employed at Nash-American Motors as an autoworker for 31 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenosha and served as an usher for many years. Ernie was part of the brotherhood of the Freemasons and was grateful for his time with their community. In 1981, he retired to the desert to escape the ragweed and snow. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends with odd jobs. Ernie was not one to sit around - he was always attempting to make thing better and loved tinkering with inventions of his own making. Ernie is survived by his son Edward Mattner, his daughter-in-law Ella Fossum and his granddaughter, his princess, Melody Mattner. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Donna Mattner and Sandy Mattner and his former daughter-in-law Joyce Mattner. Ernie is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great grandnieces and great grandnephews. Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Dawn, his parents Adolph and Emilie Mattner and wife's parents Edward and Louise Wachs. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Ozzie Mattner and his wife Jo, Herb Mattner and his wife Christine, Auggie Mattner and his wife Lucille, Al Mattner, Ted Mattner and his wife Sally, Hattie Strange and her husband Dale, and Walter Mattner. Services honoring Ernie's life will be held at Bruch Funeral Home in Kenosha. Visitation will be Sunday December 3rd from 1pm to 3pm and Monday December 4th from 9am until time of service. Robert J. Anderson, 97 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI. He was born May 12, 1926, in Racine, WI, the son of the late Louis and Rose (Schram) Anderson. Robert was united in marriage on February 3, 1951, to the love of his life Louise Nelson and enjoyed every moment they had before her passing in 2009. Robert served his country by joining the Army from 1944 to 1946. Before his retirement in 1988 he works as a Tool & Die Maker at Sterling Tool, Racine, WI. He enjoyed puzzles and would almost never turn down playing cards, but being a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, he never let anything interrupt the games and he loved being surrounded by the atmosphere watching the games with family created. Robert is survived by his children, Jan (Susan) Anderson, San Jose, CA, Joseph (Cathy) Anderson, Kenosha, WI, Peggy Rogers, Wauwatosa, WI, Barb (Jeff) Roedema, Racine, WI; he is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Jeff Roedema. In addition to Louise and his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Barb Roedema and siblings Les Anderson, Louis Anderson, Dorothy Conforti and Helen Davis.
