Gregory Lewis Weaver, loving husband and father, died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on September 23, 2023, in Tampa, FL. Greg was born in 1973 to John and Sharon Weaver and grew up in Pottstown, PA. He graduated from Toccoa Falls College before moving to Tampa, FL, the place he would call home for over 25 years. He had a unique gift for relating to kids and applied his quick wit and solid faith to his work in youth ministry for many years. In 2014, Greg married the love of his life, Cara Bussa Weaver, and became the devoted father of 2 precious children, Jack and Millie. His deep love for his family was evident in everything he did; they were each other's whole world. As the founder and CEO of his own company, he was a talented sales professional. Greg specialized in business-to-business sales and sales management, but everyone who knew him, including his clients, would say his specialty was people and relationships. His big, grounding presence brought humor and wisdom into every connection. When he was with you, he was fully present - whether he was mentoring associates, coaching youth football, cheering for The Ohio State University, hanging out with friends, or carrying his kids on his broad shoulders. His abundantly generous nature deeply touched the lives of so many. Our hearts are devastated as we grieve with all who were touched by his witty humor, genuine compassion, selfless generosity, and sage leadership. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cara and their two small children, Jack (age 5) and Millie (age 2); his mother, Sharon Weaver; brother, Mike Weaver, niece Paige and nephew Tommy; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Harry and Cathy Bussa; brother-in-law &; sister-in-law, Matt and Laura Moore, his niece and nephews, Amelia, Luke and Grant; along with many dear friends who were like family to him. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 3pm-6pm at the MerryMakers Club on Davis Islands. (124 Danube Ave. , Tampa, FL 33606).
