Gregory Chang Obituary

Gregory Chang, age 64, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023 at Riverview Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on December 3, 1958, in New York, New York. After graduating from New Dorp High School in Staten Island, Greg earned a BA degree from Wagner College, majoring in English. Greg lived in Staten Island, New York before settling down in Fairhaven, New Jersey. Greg was employed by the United States Postal Service, initially based in Brooklyn then transferred to the post office in Holmdel New Jersey. He enjoyed reading and listening to music. Greg was a self-taught proficient musician, playing the piano and guitar. He enjoyed travelling within the United States as well as going further afield to Great Britain, Ireland, China, Spain, and Egypt. Greg took pleasure in good food and drink. He was a kind, loving and caring person who loved spending time with family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Greg is predeceased by both his parents, Homer and Julia Chang. He is the beloved brother of Greta, Patricia and her husband Gregory, and his sister Christine. Greg is survived by his three nephews Christopher, Zachary, and Evan. Greg will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Rt 35 Middletown, New Jersey 07748 on Thursday April 27 2023, from 4-8pm. The Service will begin at 7pm. Interment will take place at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island at 12pm on Friday April 28.
