Janice May Wickison, 79, of Delmont, died February 15, 2024. She was born in Greenford, England, the daughter of Charles A. Wickison and Alice M. (Newman) Wickison. Janice came to the USA as a young woman to work as a nanny, first in Boston then Pittsburgh, where she lovingly cared for the Powell and then Holmes families. Janice went on to be the housekeeper for real estate developer and philanthropist Jack Buncher (Joanne) at his Export estate for 22 years until his death. Afterwards, Janice worked as a nurse’s aid at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville, and when she could no longer work because of Multiple Sclerosis, she continued to volunteer there. Jan is known for her kindness, wonderful cooking and baking, independent spirit, creativity and cheerful resilience through hard circumstances.Janice is survived by her brothers, Peter F. Wickison and John C. (Rita) Wickison, nieces Kerry (Wickison) Butler and family, and Deborah (Wickison) Stone and family. Robert (Lisa) Holmes and daughter Nora Holmes. David (Tara) Holmes and daughter Kaley. She is beloved by many friends.We would like to thank the staff at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg for their excellent care of Janice and the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home for their overwhelming support and dedication.Janice will be cremated and her ashes returned to England to reside with her parents. Margaret G. “Peggy” Kennelly Battaglia passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving daughters Dana (Ken) Holleran, Tara Battaglia and Maura (John) Harrocks. Peggy is also survived by her most adored granddaughter Anna. She was the loving spouse of Paul P. Battaglia who passed away in 2006. Peggy was a wonderful, devoted, proud and loving mother and grandmother to her girls. Peggy had a big family and was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters and is survived by Roger (Winnie) Kennelly, Kathy (Chuck) Farren, Beckie (Perry) Bricker, Bill (Anita) Kennelly, Alice (Jim) Biagini and the late Maureen (Bob, Dec’d) Nardozzi. Sister-in-laws Eileen (Ed, Dec’d) Farren, Lisa Battaglia and brother-in-law Joe (Kitty, Dec’d) Battaglia. Peggy had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Peggy loved her family deeply and was so thankful for them. She always said how blessed she was to have them all. She loved spending time with her family and her many friends. Peggy was the kindest and most caring generous and selfless person who always made everyone feel loved and accepted. She was a strong woman with unwavering faith. Peggy was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She will be celebrated and honored at a funeral mass on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Fisher in Church Hill, PA with a private burial service at the All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Donna J. Fong. He is survived by his two children, William "Bill" Amy Fong and Brian Fong; five grandchildren, Chad (Katrina) Fong, Kaylee (Matthew) McAdoo, Morgan Fong, Cassandra Fong, and Marissa Fong; and is also survived by his sister, Peggy (Ed) Kerr and niece, Mary K. Kerr. Bill was the owner of William Fong Roofing in Delmont. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. CHARLES F. M. BURGH, JR. It is with great sadness we honor the passing of Charles F. M. Burgh, Jr. who was born on October 11, 1949 to Charles F. M. Burgh Sr. and Marie (Plesniak) Burgh. He died on December 14, 2023 after a brief illness. After the birth of four daughters, he was the first son to come into the family. Chuck grew up in Middle Lancaster, PA and attended Seneca Valley High School and Indiana of University of PA. He was married to Carolyn (Elliott) Burgh for 53 years. Chuck enjoyed his father's junkyard and spent many years as a long haul trucker while winning many safe driving awards. Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Caryn. He is survived by his wife Carolyn and two granddaughters, Jordin and Samantha, his sister Barbara Burgh and his brother John Burgh along with many nieces and nephews. Dyan is survived by her husband, Mark, her parents, James and Edna, siblings, Dawn (Jim), Dena (Michael), Jim (Misse), brother in laws, Ronny (Georgette), Jim (Jeanie), Chuck, and nieces and nephews, Alaina, Matthew, Jared, Jordyn (Jammies), and Crystal, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Dyan was a 1989 graduate of Woodland Hills High School where she performed as a majorette throughout her high school years. She was also a member of the Golden Triangles from the age of 7 until her graduation in 1989. Dyan was known for her love of nature and the sun. She lived in Virginia Beach for a brief time with her husband, where she developed her love for the ocean, sand, and dolphins. She loved to be in the outdoors, and you could always find her camping and fishing with family. Her love of nature continued at her home with many visits from turkey, deer and other wildlife that she loved to watch from her deck.
