Grace Moran Obituary

Grace Priscilla Peatross Moran, 88, formerly of Kernersville, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Woodland Hills Center of Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, Grace was born on May 10, 1934 to the late Robert Bruce Peatross and the late Mattie Elizabeth Johnson Peatross. She worked for many years at High Point Fabricators as a department supervisor until the company closed. After they closed Grace went to work for Jeanette Maternities as a supervisor in the cutting department; she stayed there until her retirement. She was introduced and fell in love with bowling and it became a passion. It was through this sport that she met her husband, Ausby Moran. Grace participated in bowling competitions as long as she was able. She was an accomplished seamstress making clothes for her children, herself, and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 19 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dale Treat (Kyle), Melody Coltrane (Tom); stepsons, Mark Moran (Mitzee), Alan Moran (Sandy); grandchildren, Marie Washington (Rodney), Michelle Banks (Mark), Jennifer Campbell (James), Blair Coltrane; step-grandchildren, Kelly Moran, Jenna Gentry (Stephen); four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at North Pointe of Archdale and Woodland Hills for their care for Grace.
