Obituary of Gordon Johnson Gordon J. Johnson, age 63, passed away peacefully Thursday Feb. 14, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Gordon was born June 7, 1955 in Dansville, a son of Richard & Emma (Acker) Johnson. He was a former employee at the Retsof Salt Mine in York. He was the husband of Sharon (Baker) Johnson. He was a former member of the Dansville Fire Dept. Fire Police. He enjoyed "Elvis" and trucks, but most of all he loved spending time with his family & friends. Gordon is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Helen Payne, Ivan Johnson & Wayne Johnson; several grandchildren; step-son, Brian Palmer; siblings, Caroline Jacobs, Helen (Robert) Newcomb, Star Freeman, Jack Johnson & Benjamin Johnson; many nieces, nephews & cousins. Friends may call 5-6:30 pm, Tuesday at the Chamberlin-Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main St., Dansville, where funeral services will be held at 6:30 pm.
