Gordon K. Falck, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born January 18, 1937, in Neenah, son of the late John and Mildred (Knapton) Falck. Gordon graduated from Neenah High School in 1955. He then graduated from UW-Madison, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Gordon married Shirley Dubroka on April 22, 1960. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2016. Gordon was employed with Beloit Corp. from 1960-1968. He then retired from Bergstrom Paper/PH Glatfelter Paper in 1993 after 25 years of employment. Gordon was Co-Owner of C. J. 's Restaurant in Neenah for many years. He was a member of the Neenah Club and his hobbies included golf, cards and watching the Packers and Badgers football. Survivors include his children: Miles Falck, Jennifer (Tony Kuchma) Falck; two grandchildren: Ruby Kuchma, Eleanore Falck; a sister, Kim Harms; and his dear friend, Mary Lou Hoelzel and her family. Gordon was preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Jean Falck, Marcia Colon; and a brother, Curtis Falck. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the fellowship room at The Highlands, 1555 Lyon Drive in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being established for the Neenah Club and the Boys' and Girls' Brigade. The family would like to thank the Hoelzel family and all of his friends at the Highlands.

ObituaryWilliam "Bill" Clifford Haynes, 80, of St. Albans, formerly of Nitro, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his wife and three children on Thursday, November 9, 2023. He was born on March 1, 1943, in Dunbar, to the late Oscar and Beatrice Haynes. Bill attended Community Church of Hurricane. He retired from Pennzoil Company after 33 years of service as a terminal foreman. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was a paratrooper with the 18th Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was well loved by his family, friends and the community. He was a blessing to his family and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Haynes; sisters, May Thomas, Susan Pennington, and Linda Ash. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sherry Haynes; daughter, Amy Haynes Spradling and husband Greg of Knoxville, TN; sons, Scott Haynes and wife Susan of Cynthiana, KY, Chad Haynes and Chrissy Spencer of Nitro; grandchildren, Noah Spradling, Evan Spradling, Morgan Haynes, Kara Haynes, Chase Haynes, Leah Haynes; and many friends and family. A funeral service will be held at 1 p. m. on Tuesday, November 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor David Bess officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Barbara "Barbie" J. Renner, age 71, passed away at home on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born May 11, 1952, in Neenah, daughter of the late Walter and Carol (Angermeyer) Miller. Barb graduated from Neenah High School in 1970. She earned a bachelor's degree in Human Development from Purdue University in 1974. Barb married Jack Gilbert Renner on January 11, 1975, and they had a son, Jackson, in 1980. She was a devoted mother. Barb worked at Menasha Corp and many other businesses before starting Elements, a rep agency for retail goods. She then bought Collectors Gallery in Oshkosh and expanded that business and later sold it to raise her son. Years later, Barb started a new business called Willows Bend, which was a picture frame shop and home furnishings store. Following her diagnosis with cancer her business was sold and she reinvented herself with avid reading and joined numerous book clubs. In Barb's life-long journey she made friends every step of the way. She held each of her cherished relationships from her family, employees, church and book clubs very near to her heart. Barb grew up on Lake Winnebago and loved the water. She enjoyed boating with her family in Door County as a child and later continued boating on the Lake Winnebago chain with Jack and Jackson. Barb had a life-long love for naughty terriers. And could be seen from time to time with a terrier and a Chesapeake on a jet ski. Survivors include her husband, Jack; son, Jackson (Jori) Renner; two sisters: Ann (Gene) Gallmeier, Marcia (John) Murdock; a sister-in-law, Jane Shipman; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Sally) Renner. She is also survived by many Miller, Beatty and Angermeyer cousins. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Carol Miller, and a brother-in-law, Jay Shipman. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church St. , Neenah, with Rev. Kimbrel Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church at 10:00 AM with the service at 11:00 AM. All are invited for a luncheon and gathering to follow in the fellowship hall. Raymond J. Stanczak, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born January 10, 1961, in Neenah, son of Leonard and Rosemary Stanczak. Ray graduated from Menasha High School class of 1979. With his love for mechanics and hardwork, he took on jobs involving Auto Body repair, and spent 33 years with Gulfstream as lead of their paint department. Following there, he has been with Presto Products the last two years. Ray had a great love for music and the outdoors, especially with family and friends. His adventurous spirit loved to DJ, hunt, fish and feel freedom on his Harley. There was never something he couldn't fix, a song he couldn't name or dance to, a smile or hug he couldn't give. Ray made friends everywhere he went and was the sunshine in many hearts. He will truly be missed. Survivors include his three children: Kristi (Michael) Urban, Joseph (Ebony) Stanczak, Randy (Hannah) Stanczak; his mother Rosemary Stanczak; two brothers: Marty Stanczak, Dan (Susan) Stanczak; his sister, Diane (Jeffrey) DeWall; precious granddaughter Kenzie Urban; he held a special relationship with his nephew Andrew Stanczak, among many other nieces, nephews and extended family. At the age of 70 years old, a man known for his loving heart, selflessness and caring for anyone who he met was laid to rest. Timothy Acheson was called home on November 23rd, 2023. He was born on March 14, 1953 to Lloyd Acheson and Dorothy Apitz in Neenah WI. Timothy graduated in 1971 from Neenah High School and was an excellent athlete who excelled in football as the quarterback for Neenah High school who made the wall of fame. With his excellence in football, he was scouted out by the NFL teams, the Packers and Redskins. Timothy suffered with an addiction that led to the end of his life on Earth. Although he suffered an addiction it sure didn't define the kind of person he truly was. On Thursday November 23, 2023 at 8:41pm Timothy got a call. The call was for him to be pain free from his addiction and disease. Throughout Timothy's time on Earth he made an everlasting mark on everyone's hearts whether that was family, friends or anyone he met. Timothy Acheson was the most loving friend, father, grandpa, great grandpa, and cousin and will be forever remembered as that. He is survived by his daughter Tammy (Scott) Van Linn. He is also survived by his two sisters, Cheryl Acheson and Colleen (Marly) Klemp. He has 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild he is survived by, Sebastian Hansen, Aspen Van Linn, and Gauge Van Linn. Sebastian Hansen's daughter Taylynn Hansen was Timothy's great granddaughter and also known as "little peanut" to him. Our family would like to thank Theda Clark hospital, especially the nurses and doctors in the ICU, in Neenah Wisconsin for the wonderful care that you gave Timothy for the last few weeks of his life until his death. There is going to be a celebration of life to come at a later date for Timothy's immediate family and friends.Show more

Donna E. Allen, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She graduated from West High School in Madison and went on to attend UW-Whitewater. Donna married Eugene Allen on April 14, 1951 and they were blessed with three children. She was a dedicated wife and mother who helped raise their children while caring for her husband who had polio. Donna was an integral part of Eugene's accounting practice while he recovered. Donna loved being part of the local community. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Neenah, PEO Chapter EB, Tuesday Club, and King's Daughters, holding leadership positions in each. She was also a longtime bridge player and President of the Residence Council at Island Shores. Donna's family was very important, and she treasured the time spent with them. She looked forward to family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed the times at "Camp Allen" where she and Eugene would host their grandchildren for a week of fun and activities during the summer. She is survived by her children Kristine (Walter) Peppler and Timothy (Stacy) Allen; grandchildren Laura (Gary) Schweisthal, Lisa (Cory) Lang, Daniel (Sara) Peppler, Kara (Nick) Lombardino, Joel Peppler, Chloe Allen, and Felicity Allen; 9 great-grandchildren and cousin Richard (Patricia) Christensen. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Allen, and son Thomas Allen. The memorial service for Donna will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 8, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah. Frances Jean Wolfe Fortune, 80, of Nitro went home to be with her Lord, on Thursday November 23 after a lengthy illness. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Lottie Mae Wolfe and James Orlie Wolfe, Brother and sister- in- law, James "Doc" and Mary Lou Wolfe, Brothers in law Jerry Foster and Jack Miles. She is survived by husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Fortune, daughter, Sarah Fortune Dean (Brandon), granddaughter Madison Dean, and grand dogs Pippa and Ellie Dean, Sister Donna Foster and sister-in-law Nancy Miles in addition to several beloved nieces and nephews. Frances was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, and a lifetime member of United Women of Faith where she held many leadership roles and offices. She was a payroll clerk and worked in the purchasing department at Monsanto Company for 36 years, was co-founder of the Nitro mission team, and a 1961 graduate of Nitro High School. Frances was also named WSAZ's Hometown Hero of 2021. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Nitro, WV with Rev. Sara Facemyer Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023, at the church. Benjamin J. Whisler, "Jake", age 44, passed Friday, November 17, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital, surrounded by his family, following a tough 6-month battle with cancer. He was born April 21, 1979, in Tipton, IN, son of Ronald and Joanne (Vorwald) Whisler. Jake graduated from high school in Lawrenceville, GA, in 1997. He worked as an automotive Master Technician for 20 years before starting his own business, Benjamin Brewer a Mobile Coffee Trailer. Jake married Elizabeth "Betsy" Janda on March 25, 2005. Jake received his private pilots license and was a lifelong member of EAA. He volunteered and was a board member of the Fox Cities United Soccer Club. Jake was a craftsman and loved building things. He even sold a patent for an automotive tool. Jake was a self-taught musician and played the guitar. He loved to travel, being outdoors snowboarding, musky fishing, mountain biking, and being with his wife and children. Jake was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Greenville. Survivors include his wife, Betsy; two sons: Henry and William Whisler; his parents: Ronald and Joanne Whisler; sister, Brandi Cavegn (Anthony Arrington); eight nieces and nephews: Dallas and Montanna Cavegn, Jack and Sabrina Janda, Vivienne, Bridget, Arthur and Gilbert Janda; grandmothers: Thelma Vorwald, Gloria Oertel; grandfather, Gene (Alberta) Whisler; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Jill Janda; two brothers-in-law, Troy (Elizabeth) Janda, Samuel (Rachel) Janda; Rudy the Weiner Dog; and numerous other relatives and friends. Charlotte A. (Konkol) Dahl, age 91, passed away peacefully at her Neenah home of the past 62 years on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. She was born March 13, 1932, in Menasha, daughter of the late Theodore and Regina (Schommer) Konkol. Charlotte graduated from Menasha High School in 1951. She married William Dahl Jr. on January 5, 1952. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2021. Together, they had six children. Charlotte loved music: playing both the piano and the clarinet and singing in numerous bands and The Living Christmas Tree at Calvary Bible Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who never spoke an ill word about anyone. She was a beautiful Christian whose unwavering faith inspired those around her. The world is a better place having had her in it. Charlotte enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, going for both car rides and walks, sitting on her front porch swing (and offering treats to any dog passing by), playing cribbage, and spending time with her family. She was a long-time member of Calvary Bible Church. Survivors include her children: Christopher Dahl, Kim (Roger) Delfosse, Roxanne (Mark) Ezzard, Brenda (Don) Wilson, April Dahl; as well as by 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Terrance (Gail) Dahl; sister-in-law, Patti Konkol; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Dahl; three brothers: Theodore Konkol Jr, Kenneth Konkol, Richard Konkol; and two sisters: Marion Gonnering and Shirley Phillips.
