On Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the age of 83 our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gloria Becnel Stein, peacefully slipped away from her earthly family into the arms of our Lord Jesus. She was met by her loving husband, Leonard Stein, for a Waltz in Heaven. Gloria loved to travel no matter where. She adored and cared for her special needs Angels. Her hobbies included cross stitching, playing cards and word search puzzles. Gloria was adventurous and loved to talk, funny at times and loved helping people. She had a love for animals and had a special place in her heart for small dogs. Gloria was a native and lifelong resident of Vacherie. She was a member of OLOP Catholic Daughters #2316 of Vacherie. Gloria was a parishioner and committed adorer at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Chapel. Beloved wife for 57 years to the late Leonard Stein. Loving mother of Fanny Cranford, Corrine Breaud (Wayne), Gert Kliebert (Michael) and Angie McLaurin (Don). Grandmother of 13 loving grandchildren and great grandmother of 15 loving great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Roselius Becnel and Fannie Dempster Becnel. Sister of Patrick Becnel and the late Francis Becnel, Leopold Becnel, Gustave Becnel, Maurice Becnel, Beulah Triche and Adelina Legendre. Sister-in-law of Marilyn Stein. Also survived by Johnny Harmon and Anne Mary Brett who were raised as a part of the Becnel family. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Tulane Medical Center, Father Matthew, Deacon Ricky, Sister Vangie, Sister Maria and all her family and friends that walked this journey with her.
