Rano Krause

Age - 90

November 30, 2023

Rano C. Krause, age 90, of Belton, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Our father was special to many, mainly because many were special to him. He tried to see the best in everyone he met. He was a living, breathing example of the phrase "put the best construction on everything. " He delighted in fun. Many a hill was sled down, many a trail walked or biked down, many a lake was swam in, and many a campfire was sat round with love and laughter. Really, most anything done outside in God's beautiful creation was all right with him. He was a servant of God and a follower of Christ, sharing his faith by example and by word to many. He taught Sunday school for years and was in church serving as an usher or sitting in the pew with his family every Sunday for the majority of his life. He was a founding member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Grandview. He was a good son, husband, father, grandfather, brother uncle, and friend. He was loved beyond measure. He loved and cherished his wife, Betty, for over 70 years. They were inseparable until the end, their hearts still entwined in spirit, we are sure. While he loved to play, he was also a hard worker and spent 50 years as a glazier with Harding Glass. He was modest about his military duty in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, underplaying the year spent on a tiny, barren island in the Aleutians, the nearest U. S. territory to Russia. With brutal weather conditions and the seasonal pattern of months of near total darkness, then near total daylight, his tour was more heroic than he believed. In 2011, he and Betty stepped up to volunteer in the aftermath of the massive tornado in Joplin; giving their time to aid in the relief efforts. He was also, surprisingly, our movie star. . . appearing as an extra alongside Gary Sinise in the movie Truman. He was probably best known, though, for his orneriness. . . his whistling, humming, joke-telling, head-standing, and general shenanigans. He was much loved by many and will be sorely missed. Rano was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth (Shephard) Krause and brothers Lee and Joe. He is survived by his wife Betty June (Edde); four children Steve (Cindy), Brenda (Bruce), Tim (Bonnie), Lori (Bill); his sister Joyce Deckard; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Thankfully, we believe he has left behind his earthly body and was brought before the loving light of Jesus and declared HIS, that he now has a new body with Christ and is reunited with those who have gone before him. They are Rejoicing at his arrival while we are deeply saddened by his physical absence, yet, as he taught us, we are holding to the faith that we will see him again one glorious day. A visitation for Rano will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 5901 E. 135th Street, Grandview, MO 64030. A funeral will occur Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 5901 E. 135th Street, Grandview, MO 64030. A burial will occur Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Olive Point Cemetery, 18544 US 65, Preston, MO 65732.Show more

Vincent Borruso

Vincent Borruso

Age - 28

November 15, 2023

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute. Vincent Borruso, 28, Belton, Missouri passed away November 5, 2023. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York but spent most of his time after that traveling the country with his father. At age 24, he settled with his wife in the Hudson Valley in New York. He later made his way to Missouri. Hardship after hardship he had finally made home for himself and his family. Vinny was 100% a dedicated family man. Everything he did was to provide a better life for his family. He poured hours of time into his boys. He formed an unbreakable bond with his son Rory and spent endless hours playing with him. When his youngest son Levi was born he quickly took over nap and bed time. He took pride in helping his wife, Dove with her breastfeeding journey. The support he offered made her success possible. And even though he has passed, his love for his wife and boys is still shining through. As a husband no one could compare. Dove was so incredibly lucky to have been married to her best friend. He saved her, and taught her how to love herself. She was a broken person when they met and over the years he managed to heal every part of her. She never knew she could love someone as much as she loved him. No matter the circumstances, if he had the ability to help someone in need he always did. He touched countless people's lives. He was truly an amazing man. Words can not encompass the scope of his kindness. He will be dearly missed by so many. His favorite poem is as follows: "Did you hear about the rose that grew from the crack in the concrete? Proving nature's law is wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned how to breath fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from the concrete, when no one else cared. " -Tupac Vincent Borruso leaves behind his wife Raine (Dove) Borruso and his two sons Rory and Levi. He is also survived by his father Vincent G. Borruso and his mother Anna Costanzo; brothers Peter Borruso and Mike Borruso; sisters Laura and Phoenicia Borruso and nephew Jude Kenway. No services are planned at this time.Show more
