Funeral services for Mrs. Glenda Marie Burns O'Neal, age 79, of Shongaloo, LA, will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Old Shongaloo Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill. Mrs. O'Neal was born on December 5, 1942 to Irvin and Gladys Mayfield Burns in Emerson, AR and passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at her home in Shongaloo. She was a member of New Era Methodist Church and was retired from Piggly Wiggly after 35 years of service. She enjoyed reading and word searches, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Benny Floyd O'Neal;daughter, Anita Marie (Larry) Mullins of Shongaloo; son, Timothy Wayne (fiancee', Arlene Martin) O'Neal of Shongaloo; five grandchildren, Hollie (Bruce) Allen, Amanda Young, Melissa Danielle O'Neal, Larry (Joy) Mullins Jr. , Angela (Stan) Pickett; twelve great-grandchildren, Maegan Lunsford, Madison Lunsford, Kaitlynne Allen, Brandon Allen, Danny Floyd O'Neal, Micah Beshea, Jesse Beshea, Brittany Couch, John Garrett, Grant Mullins, Gabby Mullins, Haven Pickett; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. O'Neal was preceded in death by her parents; son, Teddy Floyd O'Neal; sister, Mary Frances Shively; and brothers, Benny Burns and Andre Burns. Pallbearers will be Larry Mullins Jr. , Brandon Allen, Bruce Allen, Anthony Brown, James Stephenson and Lonnie O'Neal.
