Obituary of Glenda Paulette Moore Glenda Paulette Moore of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on September 6, 2023, with her family by her side. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, September 16, at 10:00 AM, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services in Ladson. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to St. Jude Hospital. Mrs. Moore was born November 16, 1952, in Elberton, GA to Paul B. and Marion R. Glenn. Mrs. Moore was the beloved wife of Bobby Ray Moore of 50 years, the cherished sister of Linda Patterson and Michael Glenn (Linda), and the aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews that adored her. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Glenn (Dianne), but her memory lives on in the hearts of her surviving family members. Mrs. Moore was a dedicated and compassionate retired nurse. Her career in nursing spanned many years, during which she touched the lives of countless individuals with her caring and nurturing spirit. Her work in various healthcare settings, including home health, with dialysis patients, and as a school nurse, reflected her unwavering dedication to the well-being of others. Her warmth and selflessness that touched both patients and colleagues are qualities that defined her interactions with everyone - family, friends, and strangers. Her memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.

Lorine Bowers Craddock, 101, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Hugh Hamilton Craddock, Sr. , entered into eternal rest Friday, December 1, 2023 surrounded by her family. Her Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, in the Great Saltkehatchie Cemetery, Ulmer, SC at 11:00 am. Keith Smith Funeral Services will be handling the graveside services. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. , Northwoods Chapel. Mrs. Craddock was the youngest child of Ira Lee Bowers and Janie Brant Bowers. She was born in Sycamore,SC on December 9, 1921, and a graduate of Allendale Centralized High School in the class of 1939. She was an active member of Wando Woods Baptist Church where she served on various committees, a member of the Women's Missionary Union, the church choir, Keenagers and president of the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer at Roper Hospital and an active member of Wando Woods Civic Club. She retried after thirty years of service, as a Supervisory Contracting Officer in the Purchase Department at the Naval Supply Center, where she received many awards. She is survived by one son, Hugh H. "Bud" Craddock, Jr. and his wife, Jacquelyn J. of Asheville, NC; two granddaughters, Celeste C. Billington, and her husband Richard R. Billington, Jr. of McClellanville, SC and Dawn C. Micalizzi and her husband, Marc A. Micalizzi of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five great-grandchildren: Sydney Howe Cochran (Ryan), Gedney M. Howe, IV (Mae), Thad M. Micalizzi (Victoria), Charles A. Howe, Cooper A. Micalizzi; one great-great-granddaughter, Marybelle B. Howe. She was preceded in death by her beloved great-great-granddaughter, Molly Jane Micalizzi. She will be greatly missed by her family. Joseph Carroll Strickland, 88, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Betty Grace Moody Strickland, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 30, 2023. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 2:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Joseph was born April 7, 1935 in Madison County, North Carolina, son of the late James Merritt Strickland and Jessie Gertrude Rathbone Strickland. Joseph was a master watch and clock repairman who served in the Charleston area for over 60 years, specializing in antique clocks. He loved his family, NASCAR, and watching old westerns. One of his favorite past times was sitting on the front porch that he helped build and watching the birds. He was a former member of Stono Baptist Church in Johns Island. In addition to his wife of 67 years, Joseph is survived by his daughters, Leslie Strickland Peach of Hollywood, SC, Darlene Mixon of Summerville, SC, and Lori Flood of Johns Island, SC; son, Michael Strickland of Beaufort, SC; sister, Clara Brinkley of Marion, NC; daughter-in-laws, Kathy Marckel and Dixie Strickland; son-in-laws, Clay Littlejohn and Tim Marckel; granddaughters, Brandy Cence, Amber Flood, Myra Haley, Ashley McCoy, Rachael Bilancione, Kelli Guffey, and Caitlyn Littlejohn; grandson, Matthew Mixon; and great grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Emmy, Benjamin, Gavin, Lilly, Bella, Savannah, Alex, Theo, and Gianni.
