Gladys Simoni Obituary

Gladys Simoni, "Ludge" 91, of Hopewell Twp. , passed away on the 8th anniversary of the passing of her husband, Dundee Simoni, Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born on January 31, 1932 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late George and Sophia (Balawajder) Pajak. Gladys was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish - St. Titus Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Gladys was an active member of the church and she enjoyed spending time with the ladies making pierogis. She was also a member of the P. N. A. . She loved to cook, garden and spend time with family. She also enjoyed trips to the casino. In addition to her parents and her husband of 63 years, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Theodore, Edward and Joseph Pajak. Gladys is survived by four children, Elaine Cekovich; Cheryl Liberati (Ernie); Sam G. Simoni (Betty Guzzie) and Dundee A. Simoni, Jr. ; four grandchildren, AnnaMarie Liberati; Christina Liberati (Kyle Dobay); Adrienne Liberati (Nick Key); and Joe Cekovich; two sisters, Agnes Ciotti; and Helen Pajak; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Sirko. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm in Darroch Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc. , 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa www. darrochfuneralhome. com where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Titus Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
