Ronald Felici

Age - 85

December 5, 2023

Ronald Cecil Felici, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic in Stuart Florida. He was at peace and with his wife, son, and daughter by his side. Born on June 1, 1938 in Wheeling, West Virginia, Ron moved to Massachusetts in 1944. He was raised and educated in Plainville, MA, graduating from Plainville High School in 1956. Ron went on to Dean Junior College and then earned a degree in Accounting from Bryant College in 1960. He was the son of the late Cecil and Esther (Walchli) Felici and is survived by brother Alfred L. Felici. Father to Steven and wife Lorianna Felici, daughter Susan Felici and husband Rodney Allen. Grandfather to Kendall Felici, Sofia Felici, Domenic Felici and Dante Felici. Great grandfather to Logan Bishop and lifelong friend of Robert W. Gilmore. The epitome of a family man, Ron's greatest joy was his wife of 63 years Sandra (Baldini) Felici. He was a devoted and loving husband and he and Sandra were inseparable throughout the years. They began their journey in North Attleboro and then became 'snowbirds' in 1990 when they established residences in Newport, Rhode Island and Stuart, Florida. Together they enjoyed a life well lived. His other passion was to help advance the careers of his children. He hired Steven to work at and later run one of his companies and he gave Susan unwavering encouragement and support for her airline career as a pilot for United Airlines. He also stridently supported his grandchildren's education and activities, where he was often seen at the boy's youth and high school hockey games or Sofia's dance recitals or fencing matches. Ron's successful business career began in 1960 with retail positions in Lakeland, Florida, Birmingham, Alabama, and New York City before returning home in 1967 to work at the Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton, MA. After 6 years, he left to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit, acquiring or founding several manufacturing companies in Pawtucket and Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and later in Chicago, Illinois and Sydney, Australia. Ron worked tirelessly, yet made it look easy, and he enjoyed the fruits of his success, especially when it allowed him to help others or to entertain his family and countless friends. Not simply defined by his passion for business, Ron was a sports fan who supported the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots. He had a particular interest in the Boston Celtics as a Season Ticket holder for 46 years. An avid golfer, Ron belonged to Highland Country Club, Willoughby Golf Club of Stuart and Pawtucket Country Club. While the New England clubs were golf courses with great friends, the Wiloughby Club and community in Florida became their home. Ron and Sandy enjoyed the adventure of travel. Whether it was family, business, or pleasure travel, if there was a place to visit, Ron was ready and on they went. Participating in annual golf tournaments with the International Seniors Golf Association also offered travel opportunities spanning the globe. Ron had many talents which brightened the lives of all who knew him. He could argue politics, tell a joke, offer his voice to a choir, or organize a musical production. By far the most defining legacy of Ron Felici was the impact he had on all the people in his life. This true gentleman offered his time, friendship, and wise counsel to all who asked. His abundant confidence, sense of humor and joy for life attracted people to Ron and he left an indelible imprint on everyone he touched. This amazing man lived to give to others, leaving nothing of himself behind except the fondest memories of a countless number of devoted friends and a loving family who will miss him more than words can describe. Honoring Ronald's wishes, he is being cremated; ashes will be scattered privately. Rather than a funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life from 1:00-4:00 pm on December 20, 2023 at Pawtucket Country Club, 500 Armistice Blvd Pawtucket, RI. A similar Celebration will be held in January at Willoughby Golf Club.Show more
