Ginette Crump Obituary

Ginette Fidelina Crump, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. Ginette was born on September 8, 1937 in Costa Rica to parents, Manuel and Elvia (nee Rodriguez) Cortes. Ginette enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting. She was an amazing cook, and enjoyed cooking for her whole family. Ginette loved spending time with her family more than anything else, and she was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Crump; first husband, Vincent J. Clark; parents, Manuel and Elvia Cortes; brother, Roberto Cortes; and sister, Fidelina Cortes. Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, A. Patricia (nee Cortes) (Rodney) Kent, Sergio (Dawn) Cortes, Joseph G. (Margy) Clark, and Roberto V. Clark; seven grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Kent, Eric Kent, Britney (Charles J. ) Lucania, Alexis Cortes, Cole Clark, Kyle Clark, and Blayne Clark; eight great-grandchildren, Parker, August, Lily, Grace, Liam, Landon, Sophia, and Grayson; and one brother, Gerardo Cruz. Services for Ginette will be held at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street in Collinsville, Illinois. Her family will receive guests for visitation on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00am, with interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Lung Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
