Gilbert Trevino, Sr. of Hale Center, Texas won his battle with ALS as he passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the age of 68. Gilbert was born on January 5, 1955 in Bremond, Texas. He attended Hale Center schools. He married Diana Gomez in 1972. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Petra Trevino and a granddaughter, Megan Adelia Trevino. Gilbert was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Gilbert is survived by his four children: Gilbert Trevino, Jr and wife Laticia of Floydada, Tx. ; Stephen Trevino and wife Kari of Kerrville, Tx. , Johnathan Trevino and wife Kathy of Lubbock, Tx. ; and daughter Ashley Trevino of Hale Center, Tx. ; his four sisters: Yolanda Bryant, Sylvia Escalon, Lidia Ponce, Delia Tienda; and his three brothers: Victor Trevino Jr. , Fred Trevino, and Robert Trevino; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Gilbert loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and watching his grandchildren grow. Anyone who knew Gilbert knew he loved to laugh and have fun. He also loved to cook on the grill and he would tell everyone, "I made barbeque just for you!" He was a hardworking man, having worked for 35 years and retired from the Cargill Beef Plant in Plainview, Texas when it shut its doors in 2013. His family was his greatest treasure and not a day went by that he wasn't trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. While he was diagnosed with ALS in April, he never complained about his illness and he lived life to the fullest these last few months by making a multitude of memories with family. We'd like to thank Interim Hospice Care, Amanda Stephens and the West Texas ALS Support Group, and LaTresa Miller for their help these last few months. Pallbearers are Victor Trevino Jr. , Eric Gomez, Gabriel Gomez, Robbie Trevino, Aiden Trevino, and Jesse Salinas. Honorary Pallbearer is Raul Ruiz. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm- 9:00pm on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 14th, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Idalou Cemetery.

Joyce Mavis (Spencer) Czajkowski, 95 of Bremond, TX passed away on November 19, 2023 at The Parc at Traditions in Bryan, TX. She was born on May 30, 1928 in Armour, South Dakota to Herbert Spencer Sr. and Elsie Krsnak Ryznek. Joyce graduated from Oceanside High School. On September 26, 1948 she married Kie Carol Czajkowski in Oceanside, California. They were married for 57 years prior to his passing on May 20, 2005 and now they are reunited once again. Joyce was a homemaker, postal service clerk and a retired postmaster. She had worked for the US Postal Service for over 35 years. She lived in Bremond for over 65 years. Joyce was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society. She never had an unkind word for anyone, always pleasant with a smile on her face. Joyce was a strong believer in faith and said the rosary every day. She was a role model to all for how to treat others. Joyce was a loving and caring person and will be deeply missed. Marie (Yezak) Zan, 92 of Bremond, TX passed away on November 16, 2023 at her home with her children by her side. She was born on February 21, 1931 in Tidwell Prairie to Joe Yezak and Frances (Bielamowicz) Yezak. On May 5, 1956, Marie married the love of her life, Paul Zan and to this union six children were born. She was a Christian woman, attended mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church not only on Sunday morning but daily mass as well. Marie loved her family and dedicated her life to raising her children and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew, especially cucumbers to make dill pickles. This tradition was passed down to her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed taking care of her chickens and bird watching while sitting at the kitchen table. Her legacy as the most kind and gentle person in the world now lives through the love of family and friends. Always in thought and never forgotten. Tommy Wayne Mullins passed away on November 13, 2023 at the age of 76. Tommy was born to Pearlie Douglas Mullins & James Robert Mullins Sr. on March 6, 1947 in Bremond, Texas. He was the youngest of nine children. Tommy graduated from Bremond High School in 1966. He served in the United States Army from January 1967- December 1968 and was trained as a radio operator/repairman. After his Honorable Discharge, Tommy attended and graduated from Horn School of Drafting in Houston in 1969. He made his career as a Design Draftsman until his retirement in 1998. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, James R Mullins Sr and Pearlie Mullins, and siblings: Ruth Brown, Rae Young, Maurine Mays, James Mullins Jr, Artie Mullins, Eugenia Springer, Leo D. Mullins and Doris Johnson. Tommy is survived by his son, Timothy Wayne Mullins, of Dallas, Texas. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tommy accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1968 while stationed at Ft Bliss in El Paso, Texas and was baptized in 1969. Visitation is set for Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 9:00 am at First Baptist Church-Bremond and a service will follow at 10:00 am with Bro Bubba Alfred officiating. Glenn E. Herzog of Bremond, TX passed away on September 22 at the age of 83. In 1940, Glenn was born to Joseph and Lucille (Frick) Herzog of Houston, TX. Growing up he enjoyed time with his siblings. These relationships grew in closeness at different stages in their lives. He was a loving and protective brother. He leaves them with many great memories to carry in their hearts. God blessed him with three children. He taught them to be hard-working, to love through actions and to keep family close. He also taught them to trust in the Lord and keep him first. He began a 15-year career at Cameron Iron Works in Cypress, TX before moving to Bremond in 1977. There he began working at Version, later known as Crane Plumbing. Being raised on a dairy farm and having started a small dairy farm of his own led to him starting what is now known as Rocking GH Cattle company. He retired from Crane and has continued to enjoy his cattle company after retirement. He was the definition of hardworking to all that knew him. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved that his land not also brought him enjoyment from his cattle but also for his love of deer hunting. He enjoyed that the ranch brought his family and extended family to come and enjoy visits and hunting adventures. He is survived by his sons Doug Herzog, wife Rene of Branson, MO, Dale Herzog, wife Pam of Bremond, TX, daughter Denise Eichinger, husband Doug of Bremond, TX, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, sisters Rosemarie Herzog of Houston, TX, Charlotte Billeck, husband Dickie of Houston, TX, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Also survived by his ranch hand "adopted son" Donald Tucker and his beloved cats, Charlie and Junior. Stephanie Jane Czajkowski 54, went to be with the Lord on September 5th, 2023. She has been a lifelong resident of Bremond. She is preceded in death by her father, James Czajkowski. Stephanie left behind her mother, Jane Czajkowski; siblings Valerie Lott, Jamie Johnson, and Vincent Czajkowski; and her two daughters, Lisa Wallace and Rhianna York. Stephanie was born to James and Jane Czajkowski of Bremond in 1969. As a young child, she and her parents moved to Germany during her father's duration in the army. When the family returned to Bremond, Stephanie attended St. Mary's Catholic school until 8th grade and finished her education at Bremond High School, graduating in 1987. Stephanie resided in Bremond near her mother and father. She worked at Bremond ISD for many years as a custodian. Stephanie was a kind person who always wanted others to be happy. She loved music, movies, entertainment, and jumping in the car for road trips. She had a good heart and enjoyed other people's happiness. Stephanie did not meet a stranger. She enjoyed learning about others. Stephanie's two greatest blessings were her daughters, Lisa and Rhianna, with whom she enjoyed spending quality time. She was a proud mother and cherished everything they have accomplished in life. John Michael Lynn, 70 of Forney, TX went home to the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2023, at BeeHive Homes of Lewisville. He was born on September 2, 1952 in Dallas to John Robert Lynn and Dorothy Ruth (nee Bartula). As a child, John attended St. Pius X Catholic School. John graduated from Bishop Lynch High School and then attended Eastfield College, before finishing his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD Degree) at The University of Texas at Austin - College of Pharmacy (PHR). He retired, after serving the community as a pharmacist for Kroger for thirty-seven years. He married Cherri Marie Wright in Dallas on June 11, 1982. John had lived briefly in Forney for the past 3 years after moving from the family's long-term residence in Mesquite. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He is loved and remembered by his daughter, Kathryn Amanda, son in law, Alexander and granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Lubenski.
