Gerry Denny Obituary

"Gerry L. Denny, 87, of Napoleon, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. Gerry was born on August 24,1935 to Otto and Helen (Sharpe) Miller of rural Napoleon, Ohio. On June 6, 1958 she married Richard "Dick" Denny at St. Augustine Catholic Church. She graduated from Liberty Center High School and continued her education at Miami University earning a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in McClure and continued teaching in Napoleon City Schools until her retirement. Gerry is survived by her son Doug (Kim) Denny of Ft. Myers FL; daughter, Anne (Craig) Bloesser of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Colin and Megan Denny, and Jonathan (Paisley) and Ryan Bloesser; great grandchildren, Stormy, and Sonny Bloesser; sister, Karen Detmer; sisters-in-law Nona Miller and Colleen Miller, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; sister, Peg Creager; brothers, Hugo, James, and Jon Miller; and brothers in law, Edward Detmer, and Bruce Creager. Special thanks to Pam Leatherman and Theresa Pham for the special care over the years. At Gerry's request, no public service will be held. Gerry's family will be honoring her privately at a later date. Memorial contributions in Gerry's honor may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School.
