Gerard Dhooge Obituary

Gerard J. Dhooge, age 68, of Milton passed away April 22nd at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston Tech High School and Boston State College. He worked for many years as a Consultant for the Seafarers International Union and was President of the Maritime Trade Council AFL-CIO. Gerry has lived in Milton for the last 34 years and was a loyal and devoted friend to many. He was an avid golfer and Boston Sports fan and most especially enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. Beloved husband of Patricia M. (Singer). Father of Gerard J. Dhooge Jr. (Milton PD) of Milton and Laura McBrien (Boston PD) and her husband Shaun of Hyde Park. Grandfather of Leila Dhooge. Son of the late Eleanor and Eugene Dhooge. Brother of the late Eugene, Maureen, and Stephen. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton Thursday morning at 10:30. Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
